    SkyRC — IFA 2014 — MC3000 charger-analyzer

That was a wise move. That was another wise move. I've used only the native interface, and neither of the 2 external interface applications. I've read indications in the past that the BT app(s) might be a bit 'buggy'. I don't know if that's still the case or not. I have nothing that runs...

Weltool through-hole cooling cut-through view on a T12 'Nine Dragon'

That's downright weird (in my limited experience), but if it's somewhat effective, weird can be OK! I'm somewhat weird myself, but am fairly effective, so I can't complain ;-)

Does anybody know happened to Oveready? (Out of stock for several years)

First, I previously sent them a message (weeks ago) with a very simple question about the part I mentioned (Y/N answer required) . I have never received any response to that message. Since they were completely unresponsive, but people still speak of them as if they're a viable operation, I...

    delete post

I'm presented with the option to 'Delete' a post I've made, and at times I use it and it works, but apparently that ability expires / has a timeout. Lacking good documentation (that I can find), I can't tell you what that time value is, but I know that if I wait very long, I'm no longer...

Any Thoughts? Wurkkos TS10 - Changed to question about Maratac Tri-Flood

That's my take too, based entirely on what I've read. I've often said that "if you make it cheap enough, or expensive enough, it will sell". That remains true. Recently however, I've found it necessary to add: "....and if you cram it full of arcane, unnecessary, probably buggy 'software'...

Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

I'm not a modder, but I might consider swapping that for Borofloat or the like - if it's not too difficult. I'm pretty much done w/ polycarb myself. EDIT: ....when I have a glass option. Sometimes I don't, so I do still have some w/ polycarb.

Which re-chargeable batteries are you using in your HDS light?

Your comment reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask anyway: If I'm charging a batch of "unprotected" 16340s in my Xtar VP2s in the kitchen, as I've done many times in the past (Efest, Vapcell, etc.), and one of my chargers goes off the rails and overcharges the heck out of them...

More EV fires after salt water flooding

I have a lot of experience in industrial control systems. A lot of that integrates safety / interlock / fail-safe elements as a primary design objective. Your thought process here is straight outa that playbook. Do you just come up with this stuff outa the blue man? :)

What did you use your flashlight for today?

...to sneeze, when I desperately needed to but couldn't. A couple of nights ago in the wee hours I was sitting in the LR of my dimly-lit abode when I was suddenly overcome with an uncomfortably intense and sustained need to sneeze, but could not. Finally,... ...Duhh - I grabbed the SL Strion...

What did you use your flashlight for today?

Yep, sometimes people forget that often flashlights are not used in total darkness, and ambient light changes the whole equation.

What did you use your flashlight for today?

Cool! I'd rather see the raccoons than the sky lights any day, but then I do think they're very cool...as long as they don't get into my crib and go wild in there, that is. That wouldn't be cool;-) And so much for the 'all you need is a couple of hundred lumens' line; clearly sometimes that...

What did you use your flashlight for today?

Hopefully you meant to add a good ending, such as 'I used this light to find the cat and all was well' ;-)

Surefire Fury DF - FIXED unit ramps 'way down' then back up (to avoid LED burn up?)

(if I'm understanding your description correctly...) 'Just when I think I've heard it all, ............'. I can't find a little .gif of someone shaking their head back and forth in disbelief, or I'd insert it here. If you think what you're seeing is very strange, or if the outcome seems very...

Does anybody know happened to Oveready? (Out of stock for several years)

PP says they sent some money to them from me last night for a small flashlight part I ordered on their site. I'll let you know when I get a 'thank you' note from them, or the merch.

    XTAR VC4 PLus vs MC3000

Welcome! I'm not familiar w/nicads, but w/ Li-ion cells, internal resistance (aka: DCIR) is dependent on SOC (State Of Charge), and thus is always measured with fully-charged cells, so keep that in mind. Variation of same-time, same-cell measurements between different tests &/or different...
