    Cell balancing

In that case I think the hobby charger may be the way to go. Less problems with the design of the battery pack and those cb plugs seem really easy to implement. Do you have any recommendations which hobby charger may fit best? Or is any 4s balanced charger acceptable?

    Cell balancing

Thank you for the response. :) The protection will be a 4s PCM from Aliexpress. Atm I don't really have a way to test how reliable the board is though. I've looked at the LiTechPower options as they are linked in the forums but they don't seem to be available here and in a small form factor they...

    Cell balancing

Hello all, As mentioned in a thread before this one I'm trying to diy a dive light. Due to the amount of Leds it's going to be a 4s lion canister. (12 total 18650 cells, so 4s3p) At this point I've decided which BMS to use but I'm a bit stuck on the balancing aspect. (BMS does not support it.)...

TIR optics for diving / Led choice

To clarify, this is the light I'm basing the DIY version on. As shown in the picture is only using the central single led. https://imgur.com/a/nwioIiW I assume only a non-tir reflecter could achieve such a beam?

TIR optics for diving / Led choice

Thank you for the response DIWdiver. The spill is what I worried about with a tir optic. I believe the full 120° of light the led ring would provide, might be too much for regular use and would be more for lighting up points of interest temporarily. (statues, sepia eggs, ...) I'm a bit afraid...

TIR optics for diving / Led choice

Hello all, I have a few questions for the experts on this forum. I'm trying to make a dive light from scratch as a fun challenge. Atm the design idea is based on the teclight from tecline. It uses a central single led to create a narrow beam (6°) and 7 extra leds at the front to give a very...
