Pretty much a close copy of the Esee 3 only in D2 . Price is also considerably lower , but what about performance ? The factory edge was sharp and looked to be well made ( for a change ) . Been trying to upload the video ... Is MS EDGE messing with me ? I removed this spyware ( my opinion ) and now it's back .. ( UPDATE put it back ) Keeps running in the background even when turned off ! Puter runs just fine without EDGE . ( W10 ) MS just keeps upping the spy game . Apparently...- old4570

Ok - Update ! 2 years ago I tested this knife ... 100 slices Factory Edge / 300 slices reground . This time around I did 350 slices for a fail ( rolled the apex apparently ) .. Edge is around 18 degrees ( per side ) .. Hard to get an exact as the blade is - Warped / twisted / un evenly ground ...- old4570

Hmmmm , Generally people try to mod the grain structure thru HEAT & COOLING cycles .. To achieve a desired result ! I don't see magnetism changing the grain structure . I find that if you really want to chase edge retention , then .. A) Method ..... How you sharpen ! Can have a great effect...- old4570

What I got was a locally supplied ( Fee Bay ) Scandi knife . ( OAL 9 inches ) Its not super large , though it is a HULK of steel ! Around 5.8mm thick . Supposedly 1095 Carbon ! My HRC file say's 55HRC - as the file skated and bit ever so slightly the blade steel . Think MORA on steroids when...- old4570

I got my first knife when I was 7 years old .. So 50+ years for me .. And just in case some Folks Dont Get It ! I buy knives to test them ! Got an axe to grind ? ........
