    2 aa mini maglielte revisited

Weird, I have one from circa 2008 and it fits Eneloops fine. I gave up on incandescent bulbs for it a long time ago though because they were either too dim to be useful, or if I ran it on 1.8v lithiums they burned out in 15 minutes.

Need rechargeable AA's and AAA's - Eneloop and IKEA Still the best bet?

Does anyone else have the issue of the Eneloop wrappers coming off at the ends or just me? Kind of annoying for the "top recommended battery by everyone" when all the wrappers start peeling off after a year.

    Batteries help

2xNiMH cells won't instaflash that, they're going to drop to 2.4v very quickly and if anything under-volt it. When it does burn out there are still lots of replacement options btw.

Another light for the Yale collection - switchless folding 1920s.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. I don't have anything for display. I put a 2.5W bulb in it to make it more useful.

Another light for the Yale collection - switchless folding 1920s.

I guess this is a collection now. It wasn't really intentional but I couldn't pass up a nearly mint condition switchless light with a folding stand from the 20s. I already had 2 other Yale lights (3101 and 2201) so it made sense. The stand is very clever. It lets you fix it in pretty...

Burgess 8D? and 9-12 cell bulbs?

8 D Cell Burgess? No google results, not sure what site you're looking at but I gotta see this thing. Can you post a picture? There are screw bulbs in the 9-12v range, I wonder if it takes one of those. Edit: nevermind I found the auction. Looks like it sold for a good price! Also it...

    E1, Maglite 2AA w/ xenon, UKE 2L, UKE 2AAA

Did you "just pick one up" in the year 2000? Because when I tried to figure out what this topic was even about the only other internet reference I found was from 2000.

    Vintage 'open frame' lights

Is that a screw bulb? I've noticed that good quality/bright screw bulbs are getting hard to find in some voltages.

What did you use your flashlight for today?

All-day long power failure (everyone here's dream right?) Lit my downstairs with my 7-D-cell Rayovac. Outdoor beamshot below (left side) after ~5 hours of continuous use, batteries still going strong.

    Something from Japanese Amazon

I was making an order on Amazon Japan and thought I might as well add on a weird flashlight. I present the Mitsubishi CL-1217, 2 D-Cell LED, ¥980 (about $6.75). It's simple, waterproof, 20 whole lumens! Batteries not included. I previously bought a Mitsubishi headlamp for $11 and it was...
