Husker, I believe Saab said in a post long ago, when he first announced he was giving us these "gift" lights, that they were modded by him and he was going to have them in his product line. So I'd drop him a note...

Me too, have you heard anything from him?

When did you put your order in??

Since you didn't quote anyone, I don't know what the "me too" is referring to. Saab has not been heard from since post #2790. My light is back in his hands for an upgrade after he has finished all the current orders and shut down Deft-X production.

I don't know if this helps you guys, or not. I just got an e mail from him on wednesday saying my deft-x was shipping out and I think I'm close to the end of the line. He is not the easiest person to get a hold of, I sent 4 e mails before I got a response. Not complaining, but, he's probably quite busy. I'm going to write him and ask him if he has a grand total on the Deft-X production.

I will never understand why people having contact concerns are not able to use a telephone.

...... Possibly because his online stores don't provide a telephone number. Also I'm pretty sure if i were in his shoes I'd rather 500 cpf nerds per day were just emailing me rather than calling me lol

Exactly. I'm sure there's a reason why the number isn't readily available. That I know of.

Nice, what do you think of it?? Hopefully mine's just around the corner then...

It is incredible how Michael got one single little LED to throw as far as this thing does, it's crazy:twothumbs
I think this light will be in demand in the future and I am looking at it as an investment. I have been able to get my hands on 3 of them:thumbsup:

Reminds me of the time the Hunt brothers tried to hoard silver!

Haha good to hear! I haven't even received mine yet and I'm emailing him about buying one or two more but still no reply! No idea where my order stands either.
Short of a significantly better led coming out I think Michael has squeezed all of the throw possible out of a single Led... and in such a nicely finished host I agree that they are probably a good investment!

Things have been quite quiet on the OMG/OSTS sub-forum. I wonder how Michael is coming along with all of his projects. Hopefully, things are going well for him. There have been a number of lights that have come along since his last post that would be good candidates for OSTS treatment. Lights like the Supbeam K50 V2, Fenix TK61, etc. Imagine a properly focused, de-domed, and over-driven XP-G2 in one of those huge reflectors.

when I received my deft-x from michael I wrote him an e mail and asked if he knew how many deft-x's he built? He responded the next day with "probably around 70." I was just curious so if anyone ever asked me I could have an answer. Does anyone know if he will continue to do modding work?
