Lights You Want Me To Mod

Head is potted so no room for modding there.

What am I missing? I have one of Malkoff's P60 drop-ins in my Bravo. Why couldn't Vinh make a P60 with more throw if that's what Beast wants?

Well I think LarryB and kj2 are both right. So here's why, you can buy the Brazo body, tail cap, bezel & lens...then you have the complete shell and Vinh can add one of his monster drop ins, so Larry was thinking of that set up and was right. Another option is to buy the body & tail cap, and then buy the fully complete AVS Head (with the potted electronics) and you're good to go. So that was what kj2 was thinking about and Vinh can't work with the potted electronics so he's also right.

Now what I did not consider at first that I'm now thinking about is that yes Vinh can probably give me a sick drop in with lots of power, however isn't the point of owning an Elzetta to have the most durable flashlight that there is (which means mandatory potted electronics)? So right now I'm torn, do I want an Elzetta that's a tank which is supposed to be why you buy them. Or do I want an Elzetta with watered down (non-potted) durability but with sick power? Not sure thinking it over. Malkoff drop ins are potted right?

I'd like to see a mod to the Nitecore TM06s
Four x 18650, two inch diameter cylindrical form factor: Interesting, but still needs a lot moar loomenz.

Please send me a news alert when the TM06 or anything else with same head diameter (and any combination of non-mule emitters) reaches 7000 lumens.

DQG Tiny III 26650.

Stock configuration is 7x XPG2 with 2500 lumens output. This is excellent for such a small light.

I figure swapping the emitters to XPL HI should easily increase lumen output over 3000. No idea if this light can be resistor modded though. It has a boost driver with all emitters are wired in series.

I was presuming the elzetta was not the drop in type, if it is then yes the obvious choice would be a p60vn for sure. I presumed with it being potted, for some reason it was to be kept as is and not a p60 type( i know you can pot p60's). So i could only think of a de-dome to increase the kcd without upsetting the elzetta's big selling part(tank/potted).

Eagtac mx25l2c vn is 2 x 32650, which is rechargeable, xpl pdt, stock driver.. he doesnt have it on Skylumen.. its kind of special order stuff. Just FYI.

interesting -
the best 32650 battery I could find is 6000Mah
the best 26650 battery I could find is 5200Mah

what was the Lm of vinh's 2*32650 (and lux/throw if known)

I also would be interested in a 2*26650 light of some kind

Isn't the X45 just another 3.5" diameter, 4-well reflector powered by 4 batteries?

TK75, T6, etc.

I guess I've been ruined by Vinh's 40 emitter flashlights! LOL :slapsforehead:

I don't know those models well so I can't say
I collect so I am interested in specific things
I Have a
TN36-UTvn
3 x XHP70
12,600otf

what I would like next is
X45 4 x XHP70 16,500 (Before vn)
X9 6 x XHP70 24,000 (Before vn, and fan cooled to boot)

notice pattern here - multiple XHP70 with throw - I'm not into the WOL units

to each his own :)
