Boy Scouts just started again and this would definitely be handy for our troop! Here goes my entry...

If I was spending it solely on others, right now at this very moment I'd probably consider a few routes - there's lots of good charities out there; St Judes is amazing as they help children regardless of insurance or means to pay. They will help any child with a terminal condition. Also boy scouts of America is a great organization as well as various charities for veterans.

Or, alternatively I would start a nonprofit youth organization as many kids out there need direction. Thanks for the GAW!

Right now it would definitely have to go to Texas in some way for the destruction of hurricane Harvey. Not sure how to use it yet, but we know thousands of homes and vehicles have been destroyed and thousands more are going to need major repairs. Insurance companies aren't going to cover it unless they have flood insurance, but who in Texas has flood insurance!?!

I would start a non-profit organisation using those funds so that charitable works could continue long after the million was gone. I would want the org to work locally, with a focus on the poor souls who get lost, or swept aside in our societies. The hope is to create a functional model to inspire more of these type of organisations.
