    Surefire inandescents when on holiday

Hello, When at home, I always use led flashlights, Fenix and/or Surefire. But when I am on holiday, I am only armed with Surefire incandescents: A Z2 with a P61 (120 lumen) and an E1E with the MN01 (15 lumen) bulb. It kinda makes the trips more nostalgic and luxurious (like driving vintage...

Replacement for Magchargers at local airport

Hello, At the local airport, people (security, maintenance, and other staff) use old Magchargers. These lights are well over ten years old and their battery sticks are to be replaced and some are missing. This made them decide to acquire new flashlights. The flashlights are required to: - have...

Surefire L2 (luxeon IV) - what batteries are safe (2xRCR123?)

Hello, This may well be a question that has been asked several times over the last 7, or more, years, but allow me to ask it again. Recently, Surefire started offering rechargable batteries for several of it's flashlights. One of which is the recent L2, 200 lumen. so, if Surefire endorses the...

    What watch you're wearing?

I bought a Baume&Mercier Riviera in 1991 and I have been wearing it ever since. It is beautifully made and flat so it does'nt hang up under a shirt's sleeve.

What did you use your flashlight for today?

Hello, Today, after work, I headed for the underground parking under the office building. I noticed the lights in the staircase were out and it was pitch dark. No problem, I pulled out the trusty Fenix LD01 R2 and put it on high (72 lumens), which was quite bright in that dark staircase...

What is your favorite AA lights?

Hello, I still use, and love, my Fenix L2D (rebel 100 led) I bought in 2007. It does everything it needs to do and is quite robust. (I also prefer the older flapless Fenix holsters which make it easy to get the light into use very fast.) The only downside is the, somewhat, lack of throw. But...

Is this the 'best' led conversion for the mini-mag?

Hello, You should see the Minimag as a host in which a whole lot of bulb combinations are possible. I have Minimags with green, red leds. Terralux, Sandwich Shoppe, NiteIze and the incan bulb. I really love this wide array of options. A replacement kit costs less than a replacement incan lamp...

Maglite 6C/D , / 7C/D , how many people still love these lights????

People on this forum often look down on Maglites but when needed they do work. I have lots of flahlights and I havd had failures with Inova (often), Fenix and Peak. Never with incan Mags or incan Surefires. Never.

Maglite 6C/D , / 7C/D , how many people still love these lights????

Hello, I have my 6C since 1992 and I still use it. Standard lamp (the krypton ones that are packed by 2) with 6 C nimh cells. The only modification is the glass lens as I found out that the plastic one didn't take the continuous heath so well... I love this light a lot and it combines nostalgia...

Any Surefire G3 fans out there?

Hello, I like my G3 as well and keep it standard with a P90 and two 17500 cells. In this configuration it is a handy, lightweight, flashlilight with good power. But, indeed, and somewhat strangely, it's twisty is not very waterproof. Kind regards, Joris
