I'm IP banned at LPF
But, yes I'm using a DTR G2 lens and a Sanwu 3X BE, they work great together!
There's a problem using the G8 with a NUBM44-V2/81 diode as the fast axes diverges so quickly it is clipped by the G8 lens as the G8 has a much longer focal length and as such it sits much...
At 7 watt output I would have to think it would be a 1% to 2% duty cycle operation! That diode makes a ton of heat at full output and that setup has next to nothing for a heat sink to dissipate all that heat...
With the batteries you are using I doubt you can get close to 100% output of that...
Re: 1w green vs 7w blue
Well they are all over Ebay but most of them you can never be certain what output power you are actually going to get or if they have good IR filtering or not, When you buy laser off ebay it's a crap shoot...
Re: Testing My NUBM44-81 V2 450nm "Thor's Hammer" with a Hyperion Argentum 20 Watt LP
I've received the re-calibration procedure and I'll know more after that is done...
I have a 7-watt blue laser and it's a monster of a burner! But be aware that with a sanwu striker 7w blue laser the beam will not be round but more of a rectangle that gets wider the further it away it is so up in the sky at night it will look like a narrow fan going up, A sanwu 3.3x beam...
Re: Testing My NUBM44-81 V2 450nm "Thor's Hammer" with a Hyperion Argentum 20 Watt LP
I fig out my LPM is reading to high but it can be easily re-calibrated by me, I fig out how to change the calibration and I'm just waiting to hear back from the maker the best procedure for the re-cal...
see...

It's not like there is an overabundance of threads being created in this forum...
Re: My NUBM44-81 450nm 8 Watt Laser with Home Made Beam Expander "Thor's Hammer" !
After letting the laser cool down all the way and retesting with the collimating G-2 lens and a pair of Tomorrow’s System Opt Lasers brand Cylindrical lenses with a 6X magnification and then a Sanwu Lasers X3...
Re: My NUBM44-81 450nm 8 Watt Laser with Home Made Beam Expander "Thor's Hammer" !
One more test with all the corrected optics with the collimating G-2 lens and a pair of Tomorrow’s System Opt Lasers brand Cylindrical lenses with a 6X magnification and then a Sanwu Lasers X3 Beam Expander which...
Re: My NUBM44-81 450nm 8 Watt Laser with Home Made Beam Expander "Thor's Hammer" !
I'm not using my homemade long-range beam expander, for now, I've got my Sanwu Lasers X3 Beam Expander on the "hammer" and I've got a much better detachable stand for it...
