    Haha! D1 fits perfectly for minimal thrower using the 18650 cells I'm moving to for backpacking. But I couldn't stand cuteness of GT Micro when I saw it. Thus ordered both! :devil: At these prices it's a steal! GT Micro from Vinh with high CRI 4000K SST20. Can not wait to receive it!

    Collins, it appears your batteries might be weak. E.g. with time and use cell's internal resistance increases. Due to higher IR, under significant load, like ZL high modes, voltage falls, the light will detect depleted battery and step down. I suggest testing the light with some new cells.

    It's simpler than that. Artifact was caused by the shiny bezel focusing emitter. Current batches of 603s have frosted bezels to resolve this issue. In case you get a light from older batch and disturbed by the artifact, just paint the bezel with a dark marker, it will make it disappear.
