I found one of seven bulbs thrown in a box when I moved had a separated globe. With these models being discontinued, I hurried over to Home Depot to try to get an exchange. I was told there was a manufacturer's warranty and I had to send it to them. I said I was told I could bring it here. I was...
I've been using trail cameras for nature photography since 2012. I have two Bushnells and one Moultrie. I use low self-discharge NiMH batteries in all of them. For AA, I use Eneloops and for Cs, I use Tenergy Centura. The AA Eneloops I charge with a C9000 while the larger batteries are charged...
I have something similar going on. I replaced the capacitors and one of the switching transistors but it's still not working. I don't really have the time to troubleshoot it further and since I have a C9000 and hobby charger, I haven't used the C808M much the past few years.
Re: Green & IR LED for Zebralight, ArmyTek, Fenix Headlamps, other (like NightMaster
Maybe the Petzl Strix IR? I've also considered modifying existing headlamps by replacing some of their LEDs with IR LEDs. It would be easiest with a model that uses through hole LEDs. Perhaps one of the...
Here's my reasoning:
I've been finding a lot of dog poop on my lawn and have been thinking of getting a trail camera to ID the perpetrator. The camera I'm interested in uses 4xD batteries. I have a hobby charger and Maha 808 but no D batteries so I was going to just use AA-to-D adapters for the...
The ICR 26650 aren't protected and it doesn't seem to be a problem. The S12 appears to have a low voltage cutoff and the hobby charger I use won't charge beyond whatever voltage I set as the limit.
I find I don't use the dot or any other landmarks. I just turn the tail cap clockwise until the light turns on and then back off until it goes off. At that point, the momentary switch works fine and the tail cap is nowhere near exposing the O-ring. I suspect your battery is longer than mine...
A lot of hobby chargers require power supplies so that's one thing you need to factor into your budget.
I bought an iCharger 206B from ProgressiveRC several months ago and have been quite satisfied with it. I've charged everything from RCR2 to car batteries. The makers of iCharger seems to...
I recently overdischarged a battery a bit and set off the overdischarge circuit. The charger wouldn't charge the battery so I bypassed the protection circuit at the negative end of the battery and charged the battery directly. Once the battery's voltage went above something like 2.5V, the...
I've been messing with the batteries in my toothbrushes. They're tabbed 4/5 AA so the replacement options are kind of limited. I found that charging them with the C9000 resulted in much better performance so I haven't replaced them just yet.
