    Olight X9R

I'm personally loving X9R ownership. It's very akin to the feeling I had (& still have) with owning my Canon EOS 1Vs - owning the flagship product and pinnacle of engineering effort, on the part of a company I rate highly. Any LED light is an engineering marvel, because to my mind, LEDs are -...

Topping off: A major advantages of rechargeable batts. How often do you top off?

I'm personally with you on this, Shira. I really do 'care' about my batteries' health - but don't have the head-space or mental energy to manage them to perfection. I'm now relying on the technology in 2018 to 'deal with' my treatment of them, and still have decent enough runtimes for my uses...

    Midlands/NN-based torch meets?

Hi Collective! I was wondering if we hold meets in the UK - much as would be the norm for many hobbies (I've just come from radio-controlled petrol cars). I say 'UK' - but my actual locale is more Midlands. The decision to place this in the LED torches forum is a conscious one! Arif

    Wuben A21 - Any reviews / experiences?

Replying to update my input for this light, but also to bump the thread as this really is a fantastic light - people need to know! A true hidden gem from left-of-field!! So I've also recently acquired the Olight R50 Seeker Pro - and heck, there's even scope to say that the Wuben is even...

    Are there any UK-based modders?

Hi Collective! I'd like my Olight SR95 modded by someone who knows what they're doing - fine if it's a hobbyist. I'd like to have an XHP70.2 NW in there. Arif

What are the current single-emitter XHP 70.2 lights?

... no matter battery size, although I imagine mainly 18650/21700. The list so far (will update as receive new info): Wuben A21 Apollo (21700) Zebralight SC700D (21700) Arif

    Wuben A21 - Any reviews / experiences?

Quick update - it's fecking fantastic! I don't begrudge their packaging colour-scheme mimicking that of Olight's - their execution & quality seems to be right up there with Olight (beyond?).

    Current *pencil-beam* throw king?

As I was after a torch from a mainstream maker, from-factory - I went with the Thrunite TN42. It's hotspot is a fair bit tighter than the Olight SR95's, but it certainly is brighter! I wouldn't have minded a smidgen less tight, but hey-ho. I didn't have the appetite for a 'modded' light, nor for...

    LOL!! Seconding this!

    Replacement for MH12 - thinking P12GT?

So your batteries will work fine, perfectly transferable. I preferred the slimmer lines of the P12 series, given no need to make space for the charging circuitry. It makes it the perfect near-EDC light for me.

    Replacement for MH12 - thinking P12GT?

More shortly - but basically the P12s are just the dog's danglies, for me. While I get back - look up the P12GTS (latest incarnation) Arif

    Wuben A21 - Any reviews / experiences?

Hey no problems buddy! For me, it's an amusing quirk - & a rescue helicopter's not exactly gonna pass us over because of a mis-spelt plea for help!

    Wuben A21 - Any reviews / experiences?

    1) I've just got one - so will use this thread to report back on it 2) And - lol - yes it does denote 'S.O.O.' on SOS Mode!! Well-spotted Arif

    Current *pencil-beam* throw king?

Hello Collective! I have an Olight SR95 as my so far best thrower. I'm searching for a modern-day equivalent which is up with the times. You'd think that it's obvious - BLF GT/Astrolux MF04 & the like - but these spill more than I want. I want the discretion that a pencil beam allows. Lux...

    OLIGHT ION inadvertent torture test

Thanks bud - I have a few, so was no massive sense of loss, thankfully. It was all so unlikely & surreal.
