New Armytek flashlights - Elf C1/C2 with Micro USB

What's the color temp on the "warm" vs regular one?

How can I get the most diffused light out of a single (recessed) downlight?

I have a room here that is a small cubical room, approx 12'x12' with white walls and ceiling, and a single recessed downlight in a 6" can in the center of the ceiling. It is designed for a PAR 30 or 40 bulb. The problem is that because light comes from a single source, it tends to cast...

Looking for assistance with Fade on Timer for LED Strips

The simplest circuit I can think of is u put a n-ch mosfet (with low R_on) inserted between the negative side of the led strip and power supply, and use a resistor and capacitor (with voltage divider) to charge up the gate.

    What lighting best replicates sunlight?

I figured that I could have the rest of the room have the warm evening glow, while it is only 4000K above my desk where all my paper is. But I guess this has turned out kind of funny. I have both sets of lights on dimmers, so I can mix them.

    What lighting best replicates sunlight?

Update: So I got some of the 4000K Xicato emitters, which cost a pretty penny. By itself, the light does have a very pure white appearance. Colors look "fine", paper looks white. However, they don't match so well with the rest of the lighting in my room, which are the Bridgelux 3000K LEDs...

Looking for a small Lithium battery pack, but higer voltage

Hello again, This is a second attempt at a previous question. I want to build a flashlight that uses some high CRI but high Vf emitters. Somebody last time mentioned a boost converter, which relaxes the requirements a lot. However, I still want to find the highest voltage Lithium battery...

Looking for a compact, rechargeable 36V battery

The reason for the high voltage is that I already have a few of the Bridgelux Decor 97+ CRI 2000lm emitters that I use in my overhead lighting, plus I already have 600mA PWM dimmable drivers for them. But hey, if there is a super high CRI ~3500-4000K LED that can put out 1000+ lumens that only...

Looking for a compact, rechargeable 36V battery

600 mA Edit: ok ok maybe 300 mA <30V There are all these "little" battery packs that go up to 18V or so that fit in the handle of a cordless drill, so I figured there must be something similar?

Looking for a compact, rechargeable 36V battery

Hello, I may want to build a high powered flashlight using one of my Bridgelux emitters. However, they have a very high forward voltage in the 30's. Normally I use them with one of the Meanwell LDD constant current drivers, which can also give me PWM dimming. However, I'd need 36+ V to...

The yellowing refers to all papers, including tissue and napkins.

    What lighting best replicates sunlight?

OK, so I already have the Bridgelux 3000K 97+ cri emitters from before. The lighting does feel "natural", but now that I think about it, my paper is kind of tinted yellow by it. I don't have a halogen for comparison. I'm now looking at these two LEDs: Xicato has 4000K "artist" ones, which are...

    What lighting best replicates sunlight?

But if I get a higher color temperature LED, isn't there still an uneven spectral distribution with a peak at blue / violet? As for metal halide, do you have any recommendations?

    What lighting best replicates sunlight?

One of my hobbies is fountain pens and inks. I used to have fluorescent tubes as overhead lighting. It made my ink colors look a bit off as compared to how they looked outside under direct or indirect sunlight. (Probably because fluorescent lighting tends to emit at discrete frequencies)...

Anyone make a 12v DC high output ceiling light for a garage?

If you are interested in high CRI lighting, then take a look at this company: http://store.yujiintl.com/ The shipping is fast but expensive, so buy a bunch of stuff at once. Note: I don't have any experience with their products.
