Will a Strion Bulb fit in a Scorpion? YES!

Re: Will a Strion Bulb fit in a Scorpion? I prefer Li-ion because of its high energy density, light weight, and it does not self discharge. I've been using Lithium batteries for years in my RC planes with no issues and would like to use them in an incandescent light.

ZTS CR123 Test Results vs Discharge Test Results

Wow! That means the ZTS and Ansmann will give you different results. For flashlight use the ZTS should definitely give closer capacity results.

Will a Strion Bulb fit in a Scorpion? YES!

Re: Will a Strion Bulb fit in a Scorpion? Thanks for the responses guys! I've got some 17670 cells laying around with nothing to do. I've been using LED's exclusively for several years and always will. Recently though, I had to look for a lost set of keys at night. I had a 3W LED flashlight...

    CR123a question

The testing I did at 1A showed Duracell and Surefire cells to have around 10% more capacity than Battery Station cells. My current thought on 123 cells is to use the made in USA or Japan cells for the higher current draw incandescent lights and use the China cells for the lower current draw LED...

I tested two more Battery Station cells that test 100% on the ZTS. The results are added to the first post above.

Will a Strion Bulb fit in a Scorpion? YES!

Will a Strion Bulb fit in a Scorpion? Ben Update: I just got the Scorpion and the Strion Bulb. I easily swapped the 6V bulb for the 3.7V Strion Bulb, dropped in a 17670, clicked the switch, and out came nice bright light! I did notice one problem. To get the beam focused the head had to...

ZTS CR123 Test Results vs Discharge Test Results

Thanks cy. I agree that the ZTS is accurate enough. The most recent Battery Station cell tested 20% on the ZTS but actually discharged 731 mAh, so it should have tested 60-80% on the ZTS. The Battery Station cell that tested 100% on the ZTS discharged 884 mAh. That's a 20% actual capacity...

ZTS CR123 Test Results vs Discharge Test Results

10 replacement CR123's from Battery Station (Thanks Kevin!) were waiting for me when I got home from work today. First thing I did was tested them with the ZTS. Nine tested 100%, and one tested 20%. I discharge the 20% cell and also a 100% to see how the new cells performed. The info is...

ZTS CR123 Test Results vs Discharge Test Results

I don't know about loads Ansmann puts on the batteries. I emailed ZTS and they gave me the loads for the MiniMBT. Li - 800mA Nimh - 380mA Alkaline - 150mA 9V - 40mA Maybe Ansmann will tell you the loads of their tester.

    Pelican PM6 3320 Xenon Review

I’ve had the PM6 Xenon for a week and wanted to share my review of it. The PM6 has a great streamlined exterior and almost disappears when clipped inside my pocket. The body is one piece made from Xenoy polymer with a raised rectangle surface to improve grip. The steel clip works well and is...
