I have a Sunca HID light that runs about 60 watts that I would like to upgrade the battery pack. At one time there was some folks doing this. If not I'll just have to buy another SLA. The light is fun.

My new MSO3 sn2020071238 seems to be free from the problems earlier models had. I found it will go to turbo until the battery voltage drops to 3.83v at rest. Loosening the tail cap won't make it come back and it won't go to high either. Charging the battery with my Qualacomm 3.0 took 1h. 5mins...
I've been using the NiteCore UMS2 along with the Qualacomm 3.0 quick charge wall charger for my 21700 batteries. The batteries are 3" long AceBeam 5100mha.
The batteries are too long for my Skyrc MC3000.
The fun days were when you wanted a powerful light you had to build one. The most powerful lights you could buy were the SureFire incands. My first LED is a 100 lumen L5 LumaMax. I still have the many lights I built using the Maglight host. Some are quite powerful.
Not too many years ago "not counting HIDs" incandescents were the brightest lights you could buy. If you wanted something brighter than the SureFires or Pelicans you had to build it. The m*g 85 was one of the favorites. My first bright led was a SureFire L5 LumaMax 100 lumens.

The M@g switch will handle the 5-6 a. current the FM1909 draws but not much more. It helps to treat the contacts with some deoxit. My 210 W 458 was eating switches till I installed soft start switch.
