Smallest clicky flashlight (and an idea)

So the smallest clicky flashlight I know of is the discontinued Nebo Lumo Of course this is oriented towards glow and required the 3 small disposable coin cells so it wasn't particularly practical. I've always wanted a teeny little keychain clicky flashlight though that provided a...

Protected Lithium Ion cells in series

Out of curiosity, how paranoid do I need to be that cells are matched very closely if they're going to be used in series? I have two 16340 that are protected and normally charge them at the same time but they're not always spot on to each other voltage wise after resting.

    16340 in series

Was looking into getting one of these. https://www.lumensfactory.com/en/product_detail.php?pid=365 Originally was going to use a single 16650 in lieu of 2x CR123 or 2x 16340, but because the cutoff voltage of the driver is relatively high, I guess runtime suffers with the single battery (40...

    Blackshadow Terminator Replacement

I've been using a Blackshadow Terminator for search and rescue work on the rivers, as well as general scene illumination for accident sites and on the fireground. I've been very satisfied with the light -- but over the years, It's taken a couple of drops, and two of the lenses have cracked...

    Streamlight Micro Stream remote switch

I'm interested in using a Streamlight Microstream (or similar) with a 10440 battery as a weapon mounted light for an AR15, and have rigged up a mount such that my support hand thumb can activate it either momentarily or constant using the existing tail switch. I was curious though if anyone...

    Surefire E1E LED Option

If I have an old school incandescent Surefire E1E, would this LED be a dropin fit (using the original head and reflector) or do I need to replace the whole head? https://www.lumensfactory.com/en/product_detail.php?pid=336 Any other options for a single mode unit? I have an old Veleno Designs...

    Fire Boat Light

Hey guys, I am looking for a light at least as good or better than a Blackshadow Terminator (3,500ish lumens, floody and throw by virtue of pure output) for use on the rivers for our fire boats. It's been a couple years since I've been in the market for a light like this and it looks like the...

    Blackshadow Terminator Discontinued?

My Blackshadow Terminator has worked great for years, and was looking for another one for the Fire Department here and can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know if they will be coming back or the next best alternative with similar characteristics? Regards

Streamlight Microstream and Protected 10440 cells

The Grey Trustfire (600 mah) protected came in, they are longer as expected and have the protection circuit board. I'm not sure the tailcap is screwing down all the way (it's pretty close), the light does seem to work fine with them.

Streamlight Microstream and Protected 10440 cells

EFest 350mah (Blue color) Li-Mn works Soshine 350 mah (black color) works as well, the ebay description said they were protected but I honestly didn't see any difference externally between them and the blue. I don't see a PCB or strip like I do on my 18650s. Still waiting on the Trustfire...
