    Laptop 18650 battery question

Wilmette, you pretty much rock, thank you. Sometimes it is not the cost savings we are looking for, but the ability, as I have some AWs as well and love them. Now can anyone tell me why a manufacturer would make a single cell 18650 light without a low voltage cutoff? I am perplexed by this...

What is currently the best 18650 and charger setup?

Thanks for the elaboration 45/70!!! Personally I have yet to do multi 18650, but im sure i could handle it, just haven't been "turned on" to the right light yet lol, mine are mostly single cell. I should start looking into a multi cell thrower. I will use some cr123 x2 in some of my lights here...

What is currently the best 18650 and charger setup?

I think most of the issues arise when used in multi cell lights as you must make sure that the voltage of both cells is always matching. I have read that some of the potentially most dangerous situations are with multi cell lithium primaries tho. The pila is straight forward; just pop the cell...

What is currently the best 18650 and charger setup?

Ya I do the pila and aw2900 and it seems to be the best of the best for me. The pila is so easy to use and compact and seemingly flawless, just make sure you couple it with your volt meter just to be safe. Hey what kinda 18650 lights are these for? I find it hard for myself to use anything but...

    Need a throwy 2xCR123 that takes 18650

I'd take a look at the offerings in neutral from shiningbeam. I have a s-mini neutral and it rocks. No belt clip, no anti roll, no moonlight mode, but other than that it's perfect; i loved the price and low voltage cutoff. Not a thrower obviously, but I'm interested in how the p-rockets can do...

lithim primaries x2 in 18650 low voltage cutoff lights

Heading into colder seasons here, I was getting my flashlights ready for cold weather and fitting them with lith primaries, but wondering on models with low volt ~3.2v cutoff (shiningbeam smini, neutral zebralight sc60w for example) if i will lose a bit of juice i could be using on primaries due...

Just got an P-Rocket XML 850 lumens for my birthday! Woo hoo!

I have an s-mini that def hums in med and high, kinda annoying if you notice it, not really if you don't. Overall a super light regardless esp. for the price. I was thinking about grabbing the p-rocket, but i might try out a zebralight.

I suppose I won't mention the pila charger since you're on a budget...

Doing it backward - got the batteries - now need the light and charger

I have been enjoying my shiningbeam s-mini's low voltage cutoff for a while now on salvaged 18650s.

    FENIX PD31 QUESTIONS!!

I think head on the pd31 is larger than the rest of the pds so I don't think any accessories will fit, correct me if I am wrong. I'll check the headband shortly when I get home. And welcome to cpf!!!!!! It does fit just fine on the clamp. Anything bigger probably would not. Go easy on...
