    Batteries: Li-on v. LiFePO4 - Slightly offtopic

Y'all are really a bunch of nerds. But that's why I come here. ; ) Just for clarity of my own situation: I'm working with a contractor who so far has impressed me, and has the reputation too. We're looking at a 16kW to 22kW panel array and ~20kWh batteries. And right now I'm motivated to go...

    Batteries: Li-on v. LiFePO4 - Slightly offtopic

Sound arguments for wanting to go with an LiFePO4 system like the Encharge that I can just mount on the wall in the basement. Thanks.

    Batteries: Li-on v. LiFePO4 - Slightly offtopic

Then you may have missed this: https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/ny-gm-chevy-volt-fire-risk-battery-20210821-cdx767ceundzphbmvqnqbsmk5q-story.html General Motors has recalled its Chevy Bolt globally due to concerns that the electric car's battery could pose a fire risk. The automaker...

    Batteries: Li-on v. LiFePO4 - Slightly offtopic

Sorry, we're currently designing a solar PV system with battery backup for our home. A contractor we're working with sells LG batteries. He seems like a good guy. I have several LG products, including on my 3rd LG phone and am inclined to go with him. But then I see the specs LG lists for their...

    Batteries: Li-on v. LiFePO4 - Slightly offtopic

That's kinda what I thought based on personal experience with much smaller versions. LG clearly is biased toward Lithium ion, who I know as an otherwise reputable company.

    Batteries: Li-on v. LiFePO4 - Slightly offtopic

Hi, This is about the relative merits between these two chemistries, but for the purposes of home power backup. But I figured there's some overlap, and some here might have a different insight, and more honest, than the industry itself. I'm actually looking for a definitive comparison. I'm...

    Craftsman 32010319 Li-Ion Worklight LED

Thanks, but I don't think an MR16 would work in this light. Please see the link in my original post.

    Craftsman 32010319 Li-Ion Worklight LED

Thanks for your feedback, Lynx. This does have adjustable focus so maybe I could get away with an LED. I'll take any replacement, LED or incandescent, right now so the thing doesn't become a doorstop, or go needlessly to a landfill. Got an LED recommendation? Have you seen the EGO brand Li-Ion...

    Craftsman 32010319 Li-Ion Worklight LED

Hi all, I did some poking around here before writing this but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I have this older, out-of-production light that I'm trying to avoid tossing. It came with a cordless screwdriver. The set was a gift for my Dad who's passed on now, but it's in mint...

    Maha MH C808M Charger

Thanks for that SF, wasn't aware of this analyzer. I was hoping there would be something about a battery's behavior in the C808 that would be a give-away to it's health. Thanks again. C.

    Maha MH C808M Charger

What a great discussion! This is my first post here and I'm not sure this is the correct place for this question so I'll start a new thread if desired. My question is about the C808M tho. I have around 30 of those solar lights you stick in the ground to illuminate walkways, etc. I did some...
