I had one of the old incan ones on my keys for years, then got an led one which was kept in watch pocket, but kept turning on by itself, then head came off and I lost it, sure most people here have had them, or still do. Great light too, the fenix eo1 a copy of this I reckon.- Coolwhite

Ha, I have the 315 lumen alpha too, it's a bit of a fat light compared to the SF or MDC so mine tends to do night stand duty. I have speed clip on mine and crenulated bezel, a great light too. See yours has a red oring, I got an oring service kit for the light but didn't realize the red one goes...- Coolwhite

I also have that light, just the regular 3 mode in cool white, I like it a lot also so on the days that the edcl1-t is not in pocket it will be the Malkoff.- Coolwhite

Hds does seem to be "the 1" for many on this site, but they pretty much not available. Had considered getting one but not only cost a lot, couldn't really justify it as have more than I need already. No doubt great lights and not surprised that they get the bulk of pocket time with owners.- Coolwhite

Have a bunch of lights like many people here. Olight, Fenix, Elzetta, Surefire, Malkoff. My preference is for cr123 cells. I rotate the lights I carry, But ... There is always one that gets the most pocket time. Mine is the Surefire Edc L1t. When I bought it I never thought I would like it so...- Coolwhite

Anyone edc a surefire?
Edcl1-t is the one I have been carrying lately, think is my favorite light, Just feels right in hand, carries great, best Ui out of all my other lights. Oh yes, and a 6p in my bag.- Coolwhite

Knives vs Flashlights
My knife preferences are for Victorinox alox, have a pioneer, cadet and Minichamp, all in silver. They do the job, but I much prefer my lights, don't know why, will rather spend cash on lights ( quality over quantity for sure), so I only buy surefire, Makoff, Elzetta nowadays.
