    Olight iMini 2 battery access?

Thanks for the info! It looks like a neat light. I'd have preferred a high-CRI emitter, but that can be hard to find in mass market designs. BTW, I'm honored that your first message on CPF was replying to me. :D

    Olight iMini 2 battery access?

Hi folks, does anyone have an imini 2? If so, can you tell me if you can open the battery compartment? Every since trying a Rovyvon with horrendous parasitic drain, I don't really trust sealed-battery-compartment lights. The ability to apply a lockout or at least eventually replace the battery...

    2014-era 219B - CCT and body compatibility

Thanks! Now to see if I can convince my wife that this light will benefit both of us.

    2014-era 219B - CCT and body compatibility

Hi folks, in mid 2014 Oveready/Illumn/Illumination Station worked with HDS to offer a run of 219B clickies here on CPF. These were delayed a bit by a bad batch of reflectors, and their rated output was changed from 140 lumens at 90+ CRI to 170 lumens at 85+ CRI. Does anyone remember the color...

New 225 Lumen high CRI HDS

Hey folks, just curious what color on the battery terminal is being used to indicate 225 lumens. :) The color chart: https://www.hdssystems.com/Content/LightFaq/#IdRings

    Sold/Expired OPEN Sale <<<<< ltd. Run of Glowworm's Vol.3 >>>>>

Hey there, would it be possible to have the wells satinized and the outside stonewashed? The intention is to have the wells be more shiny/reflective but have a more wear-resistant outer shell. Thanks!

    HDS Systems EDC # 19

Hey folks, i was looking for that page where Henry talks about throwing an old Ra light against a brick wall for the better part of an hour to torture test it. Light was dinged up but the glass was intact and the light worked fine. Google skills ... failing. Need ... help! (Please?)

What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

Some notes on FEIT 40W vs Cree TW 60W bulbs: Crees come on immediately, with little discernible lag. FEIT's take a beat and then come on at full brightness (more of a pause-then-on rather than a ramp). Not the end of the world, but noticeable after using the Crees. This is not a "warm up"...

What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

Neat, local utility rebate on the FEIT guys, bringing them to $2/ea for the 40W, bought as a 3-pack. I hope they work out!

Best Modern Equivalent to Color Kinetics Sauce?

Remember Sauce? Those were the days. Nice, smooth, slow color fades in RGB LED A-line bulbs. Most of the smarts and beauty of Color Kinetics at home-user prices. A bulb wasn't going to light up your living room but they were fine for a mood lamp in a corner or on a table. So I'm redoing my...

What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

Watch for sales, Home Depot sometimes has CREE TW (True White) bulbs on sale. We got about half a dozen of their 60W equivs for about $5 each, and they've been performing well. They're actually too bright for some applications and we've been looking for good deals on the 40W equivs. Prices as...

Designing an LED flashlight for Kickstarter

Hi, just wondering, is there any risk of wearing down the copper threads of the heatsink? How often does the head need to be unscrewed (does the battery get inserted at the head or the tail)? During the tritium drop tests, did the head get knocked off-center, or loosen, etc.? Just...
