How is "Lockout Mode" supposed to work?

ok no problem. Specific model is "InForce TFx Multi-Function Handheld" 700 lumen. I have not used it for about 2-3 months and had it in lockout mode, where I turned the tailcap beyond a half turn to the point where the 2 surefire c123a cells sit loose (i.e. if you stood the light up on a table...

How is "Lockout Mode" supposed to work?

That is what I was confused about. So the batteries are still draining in lockout, and I mistook it to mean otherwise.

Nebo MYCRO: a 400 lumen powerhouse the size of a quarter!

Same, I have it on my lanyard and it's now my multipurpose 'go-to' light, unless I need something brighter.

How is "Lockout Mode" supposed to work?

I've tried using lockout mode with 3 different Inforce lights. I'm not sure if there is a limit to how long lockout mode lasts, but it seems like the batteries still drain regardless. Is there usually a limit as to how long a light can be in lockout mode before batteries drain? don't think a...

Nebo MYCRO: a 400 lumen powerhouse the size of a quarter!

Ok, maybe not the size of a quarter, but close. Anyone seen this in stores? It's a rechargeable keychain light, wicked bright. href="https://www.nebotools.com/p/MYCRO/595">

Safety Discussion; It’s NOT “just a flashlight” anymore!

Ok, that does sound serious. Let's say you only have 3-4 lights with lockout mode, and keep your 123A cells in them under lockout mode when not in use. This should not affect them, correct? I only buy surefire 123As, don't mix old and new, and use the light only when I have to.

Safety Discussion; It’s NOT “just a flashlight” anymore!

These 'exploding' or combustible lithium batteries we hear in the news, has it been shown that C123a batteries do these things also? I always thought that lithium batteries were more stable than alkalines, or was that just in the corrosion department?

Where is the market for diffusers?

You would think how ubiquitous torches are on the market that someone would come out with different size diffusers you could put on them to make a torch. Take this, for example: http://www.akaricenter.com/led_light/h2t/kakusandamaeb.htm As far as I can tell, these H2T series of diffusers is...

    Dead LED? LED LENSER story

Thanks! Maybe it's just a bad model, or LL works better with lights that have simple UI vs multimode UI

    Dead LED? LED LENSER story

Hi CPFers, Just want to throw this out there: LED LENSER is...an interesting brand. Bought a M1 multi-mode 1 cell C123 torch back in 2012, and it always had finnicky UI (would not change modes like instructions said). You're supposed to click twice fast for low, and 3 times fast for strobe...

Black Diamond Spot 200 lumens vs. Nite Ize Radiant 200 lumens

I've heard a lot of mixed to positive reviews for the BD, but saw the Nite Ize in store and it seems like a real robust build. Only real negative in my eyes is that the Nite ize has multiple red LED's instead of 1 like BD. Also, it seems like the red light on the Nite ize has only one mode vs...

Tritium Keychain vials from Hong Kong: Reliable?

Thanks for the suggestion! Although I put 'mixglo.net' into my URL bar and the browser said there was an error. So I searched on google and looks like they changed to a .com address http://www.mixglo.com/

Tritium Keychain vials from Hong Kong: Reliable?

I've been resisting tritium keychains for so long, but I think I'm finally cracking! The question is, who can you trust for getting quality tritium lights, and does it matter? Here is a seller on ebay selling a titanium vial of tritium for $40...

Leaking C123A Lithium battery, need to clean tube

Too late, I touched the goop when cleaning the battery to locate a crack/hole for the leak. I emailed batterystation for the health issues. On a side note, batterystation mailed me back saying [/FONT]
