    The grease is more to protect the oring from premature wear, but it does help in the compression. In a pinch, you could go without it, or lick the oring or rub some nose grease on it (sounds a little gross, but I actually have a customer that does this since he likes to go the minimalist route)...

    the small exo tubes I make can carry 1 AAA. Although a little fatter, than you need, the extra space can be used to carry a bill adding even more usefullness to it.

    I use the tianium ones I make (shameless plug) They really are very nice and usefull capsules though. The little ones hold 1 AAA, 1 AA, or 1 CR123. The larger ones hold 2 AAA, 2AA, or 3 CR123
