    A dented positive end on a GA is fine, it won't hurt its performance or safety. Filling the void with epoxy WILL cause problems because it will prevent the cell from venting if something does go wrong. Those divots are there by design to provide a known failure point. ETA: here's a page...

    Yes, to compensate for the lead that goes down the side of the cell, plus the additional wrapper. However, it is far easier to see the difference on a digital caliper over a vernier scale, at least with my eyes.

    I would not be surprised at all if the tolerances can vary by a tenth or two of a mm. FWIW I still get about 18.6mm on the negative side of the one I've got.

    Yeah, they're great folks. Almost always my go to supplier for cells, I think the only time I've deviated is for group buys related to lights. Like Liionwholesale had a deal when the BLF Q8 was coming out, you could get four button top 30Q for like $5 each or something.
