High brightness/radiance 365 nm UV LED

I'm on the hunt for a high brightness 365nm LED. Any recommendations? I can find highpower, but hard to find information on surface brightness. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiance And for the non technical, more light from smaller emitting surface. Thanks!!!

Smurf, would you mind PMing me the list of what you found?

Hi Power Violet/UV LEDS for helo landing system

Tagging along :) Where did you get the VIO without the phosphor?

Why does nobody bin 420nm any longer?

I'll be at Photonics West tomorrow. I'll stroll through the exhibitor room and see if I see anything in that area.

Why does nobody bin 420nm any longer?

The natural progression to this conversation (since this looks like the common reef related question), is what is the source for the "now appearing" 403-405nm LEDs in reef lights? (beyond the 5mm ones)

    thank you very much :)

    CFD analysis

Does a "free" cfd analysis package exist? I want to do some simple heatsink modeling for a multi emitter setup.

    Anyone recognize this LED?

reminds me of the old luxeon I bare emitter.

Another big breakthrough for CREE! 186 lumens per watt!

These people will only be happy when a TiSaph pumped supercontinuum fiber optic based compact flashlight gets made. (aka, a "white" laser)

    Experiments in LED encapsulation

Re: DIY LED encapsulation how about eliminating the dome all together and use a TIR optic and index match (well, close) between the dome and the lens?

    MCE availability

I figure piggybacking this thread may be better than starting a new one. Any word on the availability etc on the MC-E Color? I remember hearing about them a few months back but haven't heard much since.

QD-LEDs emit over whole visible spectrum

The OP's images just appears to be the emission from UV (or near?) excited quantum dots in a cuvette. Think of it as an "alternative" to phosphors.

    LUXEON Rebel Phosphor Converted Amber

Caution: Placebo effect. Sometimes you need to be sure you are actually seeing a difference and not just thinking you are seeing a difference.

    LUXEON Rebel Phosphor Converted Amber

It isnt just Rayleigh scattering, but also Mie Scattering. A comparison to clouds/fog to soot is only valid if 1) the index of refraction is similar 2) the diameters are similar. Neither is the case.
