Single Primary cell weapon light is what You want. No rechargeables.
Preferable, the weapon light should have two springs. One in the tail
and one on the head of the light. Two springs reduce the chance of
crushing the anode of the cell after repetitive recoil.
No Air, No Fire.
From my limited knowledge, most lithium fires have started by not following rules to prevent such from happening.
All lithium lion cells being shipped should be discharged to 10% prior to packaging.

I only have a couple "Thingy's". I'll check once I get some new cells for them, in the spring to check colors.
I have tried til I was blue to reconnect with Guy, with no avail. I have a few prototype pieces, and will check

Not all 9V cells are created equally.
There are some that use 6 AAAA Alkaline's and others use 6 AAAA Zinc powered series cells, and others
that use primary lithium cells.
Check the compatible ANSI number on the 9V battery to cross reference and find out if it is the case.
Regardless, 9V cells...
Typically gas water heater vents are only ~3-4".
I do agree with adding an additional separate roof penetrating exhaust vent. This is due to the short rise of the existing water heater, assuming it is the only appliance venting through that existing chimney/roof vent.
