No I did not check the voltage. I was camping. I just need the stupid thing to do what it says it will do, whether it's a battery problem or one with the light.
We used the HP30 for a night kayaks my adventure this weekend. Battery life wasn't even close to advertised. I was using Olight 3400mAH 18650s and didn't get more than 1.5 hours out of them.
Michael, I just read your whole post. Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm sorry for the personal criticism you received from some. I am also happy to see you have found a new love in photography and hope you are able to build a sustainable business with these newly discovered skills...
I have used Foscam 8910W cameras mounted under my eaves for two years with very few problems. They are not rated for outdoor use by Foscam. We have very mild temperatures though.
I want to add some battery-powered light to the inside of my safe. The existing product offerings all leave a bit to be desired. For example, they use a 20" light bar, which gives great light in one spot, but no light at all in other spots. Or, they use 8 D-Cell batteries. No thanks.
I want...
Great decision, Saabluster. That's what your lights need: good press! The world needs to know about these products. Putting them in the hands of people like Selfbuilt is a step in that direction.
