SureFire to Announce New Lights at SHOT Show 2019

I just wish they would do a g2x pro in 18650. They never will because they have to sell their cr123s but I can dream. I want more hours of use built in so they can compete with everybody else. I love them because of the reliability and I love the durability of the polymer cases but they just...

Recommend me a quality UV flashlight under $80

I have bought convoy and eagletac and they both had too much visible light. I ended up with the Fenix TK25UV and it blows the rest out of the water but it is $90

Backpacker's Light - and frustrating return to the store

What about a Fenix e18r? Small, lasts a long time and rechargeable and it can work with regular CR123A if you want

    Fenix E18R, E30R, and PD35 V2 thoughts

Thanks Fenix1. The E30r is the PERFECT size, and I love the flood. I just wish it wasn’t green and trade the 1600 lumens for a 5 lumen mode and I am set! I am hoping you guys come out with a couple different versions and I’ll grab a couple of those of they fit the bill 🙂. Basically a smaller...

Need a new scorpion hunting light

I have the convoy, crappy led. It outputs a lot of visible light along with the UV. I recently found the Fenix TK25UV. It is fantastic and the led is way nicer output wise than the convoy or 25 led lights

    No rattle here, sorry 🤔

    Fenix E18R, E30R, and PD35 V2 thoughts

Here is a beam shot of the three lights in the same order with the E18R on the bottom, then the E30R, then the PD35 V2. The E18R and E30R are the same sort of hot spot and use a similar lens. The PD35 V2 is about 1/3 to 1/2 the size and much hotter. The E18R was at 750 lumens, the E30R was at...

    Fenix E18R, E30R, and PD35 V2 thoughts

I received my Fenix E30R a couple days ago and I am torn. I love the idea of an 18650 light this small! The hot spot is large and soft which I also love. It may not be the best for showing off to friends or something but for usefulness as an actual flashlight it is great. The tint is a...

Charging 16650 or any lithium ion batteries for that matter

Thank you guys, that is exactly the information I was looking for. They are the 2500 MAH batteries so I assume they are supposed to be up to 4.35 V. I believe the digital Nightcore charger only goes to 4.2 V which makes sense of why it was not officially approved for the 16650 batteries. The I2...

Charging 16650 or any lithium ion batteries for that matter

Hi all, I need some education here. I just found out about 16650 lithium ion batteries and ordered a couple for my Surefire flashlights—love not having to use cr123s. I have a Nitecore D4 charger that I’ve been using with my nimh and other 18650 lithium ions and has worked great but it doesn’t...

    Best UV flashlight

The two that I had had tons of visible light which diluted the UV out. They are affordable, I liked that but the light just didn’t impress me.

    Best UV flashlight

I have several convoys, don’t waste your money. I have found the Eagtac P200lc2. They have one with a UV emitter. It has some visible light but less than any others that I have found. It is a 3W led and uses 18650 batteries.

P60 drop in and 18650 question

Not using it for hours but. Maybe 10 minutes at a time max. UV for real estate--finding sources of odors in carpet etc. i assume direct mode mode just means it isn't regulated any longer so the output would just slowly diminish as the voltage gets lower?

P60 drop in and 18650 question

That is one of MY questions too. What happens on P60 dropins when the voltage goes below the range suggested. The dropin in question is from Customlites, and is their UV LED Engin dropin. http://customlites.com/product.sc?productId=66&categoryId=35
