My (limited) return to flashlight reviewing

Welcome back. I too have not been on the forum for the reasons you mentioned. The technology has reached a plateau and that is a good thing really. It means manufacturers and engineers can think about ways to increase the value to the end user including people who take this technology seriously...

    The Official Zebralight Thread .

I think mostly small items like this are shipped by air using USPS. I get a lot of things from the USA and the best is DHL. I can get things very quickly. It is true though that supply chains are gummed up. I bought a Merida E160 eMTB recently but since then they have become special order items...

    The Official Zebralight Thread .

What is the reason that Zebralight accept only U.S. Customers? It seems an odd thing to do in this global age. Obviously they are doing well and don't want the complexity?

Is it my imagination or, is this Forum declining?

I think the forum might just need recharging. It could be that not enough bright members have been contributing or that their lights have dimmed or gone out altogether due to advanced age.

darkest place you have ever been?

The dark side of Uranus is the darkest. I haven't personally been there but I have heard rumours. Uranus is often mistaken for just a big black hole. I have in fact been 3000 feet down in a nickel mine with no light and that was quite dark also.

How do you explain this Hobby?

I use lights because I need them. I work in I.T. and I have three things on my belt, an iPhone Pro 12 Max in a TurtleBack Case and then a Stainless Swiss Army Type Knife and the Zebralight SC600 Mk 3 (clip holder). I also bike at night here in the Summer. I went for a ride tonight on a Merida...

【Discussion】What's your favorite flashlight and why?

My favourite light is the Zebralight SC600 Mk3. It has been on my belt since I bought it when they first came out. It is just such an easy light to use. The user settings are well thought out, it is compact and powerful. I use it everyday in my work too. I would not be without it. I live in...

Which Headlamps Have a Remote Battery Pack

I have the Led Lenser XEO 19R for a year or more now. I use it helmet mounted for mountain biking and thread the cable through my helmet to the battery mounted on my belt. Fantastic with huge battery life, up to 2000 lumens and two lens that are independently focussed. It also has a headlamp...

How Can Great Get Better? Fenix BC30R 2017 Edition LED Bike Light

I bought one and did 33k last night on my bike including 12k of dirt trails. It really is impressive and compact. I love being able to control the beam from the remote switch. I love the warm tint too. I also used my Led Lenser H14R.2 on a handlebar mount. They go well together with the Lenser...

Best flashlight/handlebar mount money can buy for mountain biking

I have used the Led Lenser H14R.2 now dozens of times for night rides and it works just great. I have ordered a Fenix BC30R 2017 Edition though. The reason is obviously a dual beam purpose built light is still better. I can also still use my Lenser as a headlamp or also mounted on the handlebar...

Best flashlight/handlebar mount money can buy for mountain biking

I like the Lupine light I should look at that. Mind you I actually really like this setup I have. It is working very well albeit it is a spherical beam and no doubt a beam designed specifically for bike use is better. My Bosch performance line bike will output 6v so I'd get 500 lumens out of the...

Best flashlight/handlebar mount money can buy for mountain biking

I spent $20 on a handlebar mount for my LED Lenser H14R.2. It works great. Here in Oz you have to wear a bike helmet. I like using it best as a headlamp on the bike but the bicycle mount got tested last night on a 25k ride on my Scott Bosch Mountain Bike and it worked great. I am probably going...
