that indiegogo site was just to raise funds for machining, like a kickstarter or etc.
He has them listed on his site now for preorder...

Most of these chinese lights use the same connector. Not sure why you need a replacement battery already? GeoManGear sells a magicshine replacement battery pack that is "made in the usa" and uses "japanese cells".
I use quotes because I don't have a geoman battery so I cannot confirm.
Do any of the owners have pics of the build process? I tried to download the old build guide linked in the thread but the links were dead.
Interested in buying but would like to see what's involved first.
Re: Tri-EDC 1st Run
If I read the light engine datasheet correctly, the maximum draw of the driver is 2.8A. given proper heatsinking that would give you a little less than 25 minutes in a perfect environment with the 18350 on high. Which translates to 12 minutes with a IMR 16340.
Re: Tri-EDC 1st Run
Brian,
If you trust the capacity ratings of the batteries, the UF 18350 is rated 1200maH and IMR 16340 are rated 550maH. There is your roughly double the runtime difference.
