Actually, I don't see my bulb on here, unless I'm missing it.
There was a chart for the 64665 right? It was the 400 watt 500 hour 36 volt bulb
Like it's low hour brother the 64663 (400 watt 50 hour 36 volt) Also absent.
Thank you for doing this LuxLuthor, perfect timing. I was just about to look back into my ancient 64665 NightHunter HotWire build that's been on hiatus for 4 years.

With how much more capacity you get out of a 21700 cell is there any 4x or even 3x Popcan lights that run these? You could get a massive 42% increase in run time with marginal increase in light size. I did a quick search, but nothing on google popped up.
I want to upgrade my old Solarforce Masterpiece Pro-1 head. I've gotten a few newer LED throwers but despite their incredible LUX they have beams bigger than I was expecting. Even the current gen LEP lights don't have beams noticeably tighter than my decade old throwers. I could give up having...
Big Beam powerhouse 1766 lights have two filaments in the same bulb, and a switch with 3 positions. A low and high. The low is around 5-6 watts (140 lumens or so) and the high was over 11 watts at 350 lumens or so had great 63,000 lux on high.
The big beam 1000 had a single reflector twin bulb...
I like those 3D printed spacers. I was just thinking about designing a 21700 to 3C adapter for my Elektro Lumens Shadeslayer 7. Did you design those yourself / have files I could steal? ;)
My favorite incan is what I dub my Daymaker Mark II. I'd show a picture but it just looks exactly like a...
Any smooth mirrored reflector projects an image of the light emitting surface as snakebite said. This is the same for an LED. The thing is an LED is a small flat smooth surface so it projects the same for light. If you use an aspheric lens LED light you'll see a perfect duplicate of the LED for...
Making my bi yearly check in on this thread. Also a good boost to the top so any new members can see the craziness of this project. Hope things are still moving forward at some rate.
How aggressive is modern day heat step down programing? Do lights ramp down at the point of possible damage to the LED? Or is it much safer than that and they ramp down at a point before longevity of the LED could be compromised. I remember back when the step down function of a high powered LED...
So much truth, it's one of the biggest reasons I keep shying away from buying new lights. All the LED lights I've bought in the last 4 years I need to find the instruction PDF just to figure out how to get them into turbo or into a medium mode. It's just not intuitive. Maybe if every brand had...
