    Hi, BladeDogg and others who have nagged you to get a Sharpmaker all thru this thread (even me) are right. You can get it for $50 or less, delivered off the net. It will last you for many, many years. BTW, cardboard is an abrasive. It does wear down edges more than many things. Steve
