    Oh, and I think the idea of just getting the thrower lights and using diffusers is a good plan, next step find slip on diffusers because thread on is a hassle unless it's a flip type

    I just got them Yesterday. It is overwhelmingly clear that the xpg2 out throws the xml2. I wouldn't be able to quantify it or give any meaningful beam shots... To my eyes the perceived brightness from the two emitters is about the same, the spill on both is about the same so both have useful...

    That d25lc2. Sounds pretty good, might have to get one of those... So I ordered the p20c2 xml2 light and the xpg2 head... When I get it I'll decide if I want to buy the 17640s or if i can put the body on a lathe and hone it to 18

    Oh I thought the p20 took 18650s, well that pretty much rules that light out for me... I'm not about to start buying another battery type. Thanks Would I be able to hone out the battery tube to 18mm? From the photos it appears plenty thick... I guess I could just use the rcr bats

    I know XPG has the smaller emitter and produces a smaller spot and the XML has a larger emitter producing a larger spot but with more output... however, my question with this one in particular is will the significantly higher output of the xml2 catch up to the throw of the xpg2? Rather, at what...

    regarding mounting position... I have found that mounting lights on the sides of weapons has always turned out to be a bad thing. there are always shadows on the opposite side or dark spots, or glare on optics, etc... In any real practical use of a weapon mounted light the most useful position...

    Personally, I really hate mounting regular flashlights on rifles/shotguns/firearms in general... They always feel too bulky, awkward, snag/hang/hook prone. That plus mounting wired remote switches just seems so hoaky/ugly/tacky and flat out annoying take your pick. I like the purpose built rail...
