    USN Permissible Electric Light - US Bureau of Mines - Stewart R. Browne Mfg.

    I bought this yesterday. Uses 2 D cells. Has a spare bulb in the base like a Mag Lite. Any knowledge about its history would be helpful. I'm aware it's intrinsically safe and was possibly government issued? It's really cool, maybe a very early example of poly flashlights.

    Favorite budget light 2022

    Typically, any deal is my favorite. I have to show these off - I picked up 5 for $20. The seller must have bulked purchase old stock from Lowes. Decent light for lending to a neighbor or keeping in backpacks and drawers.

    What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

    MagLite ML300L (2 D cell). Feels great holding it yet still big enough to hit someone (slimmer, lighter and shorter than the old 2D). Plenty bright at 524 lumens.
