Holy Cr*p! I think this was it. My issue so far resolved , can't make it acting up any more. Thanks sld, you're a life saver! :thumbsup: I just change the "copper tabs" on the knob, the inside ones to the outside, then BAM! No more weird behavior anymore. "squeezing the meter from top back near the range knob" There seem to be some improvement when I do this. Thanks for the tip. I've put in some 3M foam tape between the selection buttons to see if it helps. I'll update you guys within these 2 days.- kryture

Alas, the most dreadful answer. Been trying to troubleshoot like crazy. Right now the only thing i know is i can reset the meter by reinserting the large fuse or pressing some random sequence of buttons until it dissapears. need help recognizing :blew up a resistor on my sanyo charger
