Ah -- okay. Hey, ilikeguns40 -- I think we can blame Zebralight, now! Alright -- I'll email them and try to arrange a warranty replacement. Bummer, though.

Well, I wouldn't blame them until you hear more facts. Maybe it's me -- maybe the light is okay and I am doing something wrong. There are plenty of Zebra owners on this forum, so probably somebody knows the answer out there.

Problem: SC600w IV Plus Hi, purchased Jan 2023 (10 months ago). Worked fine for first 10 months. Suddenly, it strobes in H1 and H2. Doesn't matter whether I go directly from off to H, or ramp up from L-M-H, as soon as it gets to High it strobes, looks like faster than 2hz. Same problem on...

    AAA twisty recommendation?

Questions on Peak Eigers -- 1) do any of them allow tail-stand, candle-mode? 2) how does that QT pill affect the efficiency of the output? How many hours would I get on e.g. 0.2 lumens? They do look solid and well-built, and I like supporting domestic mfr.s.

What do CPF members wish to see of Foursevens ?

I'd love to see the old Mini AA built again with a new emitter and a lower low. I loved how tiny it was -- not much fatter than the AA itself. A bit longer because of having a good reflector (and I happily accept the longer length in order to get the reflector -- I just never like TIR beams as...

    Zebralight SC53w 198 Lm Test - Eneloop Pro vs Vapcell H10 & F12

Thanks, Lips! The difference between the 10A Vapcell and the 3A Vapcell is very interesting. On the one hand, the 3A got almost twice the run-length on high -- points to the 3A. On the other hand, the 10A descended through the modes in a more useful way -- I'd rather have 5 hours of low at the...

Eek! not good! Li-ion's should not be drained that low (as you know). Okay -- that's another reason why those of us who like to run Li-ions in our H/S 53 series are doing so at our own risk....

My (limited) return to flashlight reviewing

Great to see you back, looking forward to your reviews. I also totally agree about the slowing pace of innovation. I got on board the LED train with Peter Gansee's early Arc AAA lights, and the ride from there up to the pop-can lights putting out 10k or 20k lumens was intoxicating. But as the...

Huh. So maybe I should send mine back. Pity, that, because of the hassle. And I might not bother, because -- as I said before -- I always unscrew my tailcaps when I am not using them. So I don't really have the experience of having it off with the tailcap tight for long periods of time.

    26650's that are 65mm long

I wound up getting the Vapcell K62 from Illum that Kitrobaskin pointed me to. It fits just fine and fires right up. Thanks, all!

Yes, yes, and yes. One thing we know about humans is that their eyes always want more light. Whatever light level you are at, you will always be tempted to nudge it up a bit. You think you only need 1 lumen, but you adjust it to 5 lumens without knowing it. And then you burn through your battery...

You mentioned having a few Thrunite Ti3 V2s. Let me know what you'd be willing to sell them for, and how you want to handle shipping. Depending on price I might buy up to 3 units. Thanks!

They used to be cheap and readily available -- then they disappeared. Got one you'd like to sell? Let me know. Thanks!

    26650's that are 65mm long

I really appreciate all of the feedback and responses. AzNSx, you can find the stipulation about using unprotected 18650s at the URL in the fourth graphic from the top, labeled "Battery Compatibility" in big blue letters. It's right below "650 Meters" and above "Compact Design". It has a grid...
