Most Efficient sub-100W DC➡AC Inverter and 120V Light Bulb

Thank you very much! 1) I had never heard of this company before but I will be researching them thoroughly; thank you so much! 2) I actually just discovered that Philips now has a P.D.E. (Pretty Darn Efficient) series of 60W equivalent and 100W equivalent LED light bulbs: 8.5W draw 1540...

Most Efficient sub-100W DC➡AC Inverter and 120V Light Bulb

Greetings, Fellow Fans of Photons! I have a few questions/thoughts/considerations about both the efficiency of DC ➡ AC inverters as well as the most efficient 120V light bulb. 1) I plan to acquire a high capacity 12V LiFePO4 battery. 2) I plan to acquire the most efficient/reliable 100W...

    Nichia 219B SW35K R9080 vs. Nichia E21A 3500K R9080

Can anyone please comment on how these Nichias will compare to high-CRI offerings from Samsung/others, i.e., the Samsung LH351D...? I tend to prefer a broader hotspot in my lights. How would others rank these— List of Emitters Samsung LH351D Cree XP-G3 Nichia 219B SW35K R9080 Nichia E21A...

    SST-70 Compatibility: Emitter Swap

—okay; got it. I don't have the skills to mod it but I will be on the lookout for someone who can. Thank you! :-)

    SST-70 Compatibility: Emitter Swap

—excellent; thank you. Please: Do you know which size MCPCB would best fit the Jetbeam?

    SST-70 Compatibility: Emitter Swap

Are you certain? "The input voltage is 3.6 - 6 Volts." Source That doesn't sound like flat regulation (optimization) over the full discharge range of a 1x3.7V cell. * * * Further Questions: 1) I know the Malkoffs are potted; does anyone know if the Jetbeams...

    SST-70 Compatibility: Emitter Swap

The thing is, I don't believe the Malkoffs are optimized for 1x3.7v cell vs. the Jetbeam. It looks like I can get a 3000K, 3500K, 4500K... XHP50.3 LED pretty easily...from digikey or mouser.

    SST-70 Compatibility: Emitter Swap

@scalpel_ninja: Thank you! @LEDphile: Thank you! That makes me slightly hesitant to proceed. I guess one would need current measurements at the emitter inside the Jetbeam, Malkoff, etc...to go that route...? ➡ It's truly unfortunate that the Jetbeam isn't available in at *least* a neutral...

    SST-70 Compatibility: Emitter Swap

Hi, all! I really want to get a 1x21700 flashlight that changes modes purely by rotating something. The two contenders are the Malkoff and the Jetbeam RRT2 Raptor. I want a flashlight where you can turn something to set the mode, and never have to worry about using a clicky interface to...

2200K Edison LED PIR Vacancy Sensor Project Help

Thanks, Dave! :) I got frustrated trying different combos of LED bulbs which sent the relay in the occupancy sensor into a tizzy of switching on and off to the point I smelled burning from the arcing inside the relay. I picked up three 11W 5,000 hour bulbs rated at 80 lumens apiece at 2700K...

2200K Edison LED PIR Vacancy Sensor Project Help

Hi, all! Been a little while and am stopping by with a question. My dad and I had a nice father/son project over the summer where we installed a five minute vacancy/occupancy sensor in a two-gang electrical box, with the motion sensor on the right, and the two-outlet duplex on the left. I...

How Do You Return Gmail to Basic HTML Permanently?

Hi, all. I want to offer a ten year update to this thread. Either because of a behavior on my part, perhaps clicking something that sent GMail into "standard" mode, or, something on Google's end, the account setting once more got tweaked, and my account is no longer permanently set to Basic...

    WTB: Maglite C ➡ P60 Host Conversion

Thank you all for the replies! I am aware of fivemega's most excellent piece of kit and it is terrific. However: My use case requires the ability to use both 2x21700 and/or 2x26650 cells in series of both INR and LiFePO4 chemistries, possibly even 3x21700 and/or 3x26650. :)
