    Anyone tested 1.5V 14500 AA Lithium-ion batteries?

I don't have any of these cells so cant speak from experience, BUT as far as I can gather you need the special charger to charge these cells because of the step-down circuitry in them. Ie., you cant charge them in your regular charger. If so, I'm not sure I want to get in to special chargers for...

    SkyRC — IFA 2014 — MC3000 charger-analyzer

Best wishes for your understanding - have a look over on BLF and start here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/skyrc-mc3000-help-thread/51269/89

The MC3000 will also charge AAAA batteries too; it does so without any issues. So yes, it is very difficult to accommodate all those different sizes and shapes.

    Liteflux LF2XT

I have one which I use occasionally. Works great when I use it but it seems to run down 10440s when not in use. AAAs seem to stay charged comparatively forever.

    'Asafee' Jetbeam??

Got my 'Asafee' Jetbeam from AliExpress. The light looks great, has all the right markings on the light as well as on the box it came in. In summary it looks legit and is a great light. I am no wiser about Asafee but no reason to suspect 'seconds' or any other problem.

    SkyRC — IFA 2014 — MC3000 charger-analyzer

I assumed that they no longer offered replacement tops because they figured they fixed all the plastic problems in the 'two fans' (third) version. I also seem to recall that there is a discussion of the plastic issues somewhere several years back in this very long thread.

They were supposed to have fixed ALL the problems including the case material in the third production which came with the two fans.

Sounds like good work! Is your second (backup) unit also from the first batch? The second batch (June 2016 Production) was supposed to have all those retaining peg problems solved.

    'Asafee' Jetbeam??

I have noticed ads on AliExpress for 'Asafee' Jetbeam. What is Asafee? Did Jetbeam get taken over? Is Asafee Jetbeam a cheap (or not cheap) knock-off of Jetbeam?

What is your overall experience with Nitecore products?

I have had a Nitecore SRT7 for several years now and found it very reliable. Also a highly versatile light once you learn the ring-selector. I also have two very old now Nitecore Defender Infinity (NDI) lights. There are legendary lights which generated much enthusiasm in this forum many year...

    SkyRC — IFA 2014 — MC3000 charger-analyzer

There is an extensive thread on this on BLF - with the same dismay expressed over the lack of a firmware update changelog. As Geppo says, its crazy that you have to lose your programs IF you do a firmware update. GREAT charger, still the best, most flexible, out there by far, but updating etc...

    brightest single AA alkaline flashlight

Like everyone else here, go with the dual fuel 14500/AA. Much brighter on the 14500 and can use AA if needed.

Any new "high end" chargers in the near future?

It is only fiddly if you want to fiddle. I mostly just use it for charging which is at least as simple as in 'simple' chargers. I well remember this being discussed during development in the many-pages-long thread here on CPF and while the flexibility (aka fiddly) was a primary requirement, so...
