I was puzzled why my AW 16340 couldn't handle the current draw since its also rated at 1.5A (2C) and this might explains it.
Otoh, both of my S Mini RG/Ti was hitting 2A draw
Thanks for the info CelticCross74. Guess its my AW 16340 that couldn't handle the high current due to its age (didn't expect my AW16340 to be the culprit as they haven't seen much use since I got them). Gotta stop thinking about this while my parcel (16340) is still trying its best to make its...
Which 16340 do you guys use and does your light run on high mode for 90 seconds? I'm on AW RCR123 black (not the 2016 version) and I'm only getting 45 seconds on high before the light steps downs and get stuck on low mode :o
:candle: Didn't know they have changed the rules for selling used flashlights here. Thanks for the heads up
@aginthelaw
Did you know the NW is only -500 K vs the CW?
The issues that's been mentioned previously by the other members here?
I'm more concerned with the parasitic drain (how quickly will it drain the AAA Nimh) and if the battery switch is replaceable?
I've just ordered some of this to replace my Olight i3S (primary EDC) and came across this thread about the futuristic switch :shrug:. Is there any fix to this yet?
TIA
Interesting discussions as I'm waiting for my XT11GT that has USB charging feature that I intend to use when my external charger isn't available.
Thanks for the inputs guys.
Hi moklyokly, I'm thinking of getting this charger as my travel charger for my 104500/RCR123 but 66°C is a bit concerning imo. Are you still using this charger?
Thanks for sharing your observation. Wasn't expecting the parasitic drain on electronic switch flashlights to be that high. Glad I haven't pulled the trigger on this yet (Now I'm less excited to receive my XT11GT since its not capable of physical lockout :sick2:)
