Why is the SureFire 6P so good?

It’s a very versatile platform. I’ve got three in use at present. One old school 6P (with old school case!), a 6P Defender with a Malkoff M60 and really solid (Solarforce) belt clip, and a newer 6P with an LED drop-in and a Surefire tape switch from the old 3P style weapon light.

what was the first led flashlight you owned?

For me, an early Surefire L1. Very purple beam tint, though, which means it doesn’t get a lot of use now.

    Show your nightstand flashlight!

From the left - Maratac copper AAA with an eneloop and a (standard issue) funky glow in the dark o-ring; Zebralight SC80 which has a useful moonlight mode and can run with either a AA or CR123A (and currently with a RCR123A); Surefire E1L with the KX1B head; and for some serious illumination...

    Show your nightstand flashlight!

Currently travelling, so Surefire Fury with options of 500 lumens, or low mode if preferred. When at home, I have a Zebralight SC80 which comes on in moonlight mode unless more output needed.

Pen cartridge that directly replaces Space Pen's?

Re: Pen cartridge that directly replaces Space Pen\'s? There is a wide range of D1 refills that will work with the Schon adapter, including gel ink. The downside is that D1 refills are small and so they don’t last very long before they need replacing.

Pen cartridge that directly replaces Space Pen's?

Re: Pen cartridge that directly replaces Space Pens There’s a company in the US called Schon DSGN which sells an adapter for D1 sized refills which makes the combined refill and adapter the same size as a Fisher Space Pen refill. Although D1 refills lack the advantages of Space Pen refills, D1...

    Shopping in New York City?

Hello Jay. I was over in NYC with my family on holiday two years ago and I picked up some Surefire items in B&H so I would recommend it. The trick was fitting it in with some general tourist stuff in the area so that I could call in without interrupting out our holiday. I also picked up a nice...

Flashlights that take more than 1 battery type

I’ve got a Zebralight SC80 which has a reversible adaptor in the battery compartment that allows it to run on either one AA or one CR123. It’s quite a neat idea - but I don’t use it much as it seems to suffer from quite bad parasitic drain and the light is usually dead when I want to use it!

Surefire m6 and m3t-cb rechargeable battery options in United Kingdom

In my M3T, I am using the 3.7 volt versions - description from supplier as follows: Nitecore 16340 RCR123 IC Protected 650mAh. As to bulbs, I am using a TAD Customs MN7225 bulb with the corresponding adaptor socket from TAD Customs. For LED, I use a Lumens Factory M3T-LED tower. Like you, i...

Surefire m6 and m3t-cb rechargeable battery options in United Kingdom

I am currently using three Nitecore RCR123A cells (and a decent Nitecore charger) for my M3T which give a range of options, including bi-pin lamp units and an adaptor from TAD Customs or various LED tower drop-in units. Hope this helps. Regards. Jim.
