What flashlight do you keep in your vehicle?

Currently I carry a Streamlight Ultra Stinger LED and an old Inova 3 CR123A LED (I think it's a T-3) in my vehicle.

    Streamlight Ultra Stinger LF LED?

I just bought one of these Lumens Factory drop ins last week off Ebay for my Ultra Stinger (actually it's a converted Super Stinger that I bought new many years ago, but it's the same). I don't know if it's a current production drop in or an older one. I can't find the lumen output on the box...

whats your profession and whats your light for it?

I'm a Alarm Response Officer for a large alarm company in the Los Angeles area. I change the flashlights I use every so often, but currently I'm using a Surefire Centurion 3-cell with a LED drop-in as primary and a Streamlight Microstream USB as a back-up.

New Maglite Spectrum Series in warm white and colored LEDS

Per Mag's website: "Blue is the preferred light source for pilots, great for reading maps in low light or no light environments. Blue light provides great detail and does not wash out symbols, notes or elevation markers on maps. Used by hunters for blood tracking. Forensic personnel and crime...

    Maglite rubber switch covers?

A tip I overheard given to a customer at the old Maglite Warranty/Repair Center, was to apply rubber epoxy on the bottom of the switch cover and switch before replacing the switch cover. This helps retain the switch cover in place. Many users carry their C and D cell Maglites (and Magchargers)...

    Maglite Flashlight Trade-in Program

tI don't know if this has been posted elsewhere - if so, I guess this will be a reminder. I went to Mag Industries yesterday (2/27) to get a Maglite repaired. While there, I noticed a sign posted by the customer service window that read something like, "Want a brighter Maglite? Ask about our...

Problems with Surefire EB2, anybody had the same?

If you haven't already done so, yes, contact Surefire. There is definitely something wrong with it. I have the EB-1 (200 lumen version) - works flawlessly. Hopefully, Surefire will repair/replace your light quickly.

    Kabar handle replacement

I would contact Ka-Bar. I'm sure they have a repair facility, or at least would know what company could repair your knives.

    Favorite 2xAAA Stylus/Pen Lights

I now have 3 pen lights (2 Pelican 1920s [1st and 2nd generation], and the current generation Streamlight Stylus Pro [90 lumens]). Of the 3, I would have to say I like the 2nd generation Pelican 1920 the best. If the tail switch on the Stylus Pro breaks in and becomes easier to click on, I...

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

Last week I bought a Streamlight Stylus Pro (90 lumens), which was an impulse buy (I do like the form factor of AAA pen lights). I had bought one of these when it was first made available to the public a few years ago (I think it had 47 lumens). I sold it to a co-worker when I bought a Pelican...

    Blue light???

Years ago (mid-1970's), I knew some deputies that replaced the clear plastic lens on their Kel-Lites with a (light) blue tinted lens. When asked, the deputies told me that the blue lens reduced the amount of light reflection when shining their lights through car windows. I didn't see many...

    Source for SL20X parts

Streamlight is still making the SL-20X light, so replacement parts are available. Most Law Enforcement equipment/uniform stores that sell the SL-20X (which is most of them) also sell replacement lamp assemblies, switches and batteries. On-line flashlight stores should also have these items.

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

I kind of went on a flashlight buying spree over the last couple of weeks. About a week ago, I bought a Maglite Solitaire LED (The new 47 lumen version, to finally replace my Fenix E01, which stopped working long ago - just now replacing it. A Photon light was in its place). Last Friday...

Arc flashlight is officially out of business...again

I still have an Arc AAA (black body, yellow LED), as well as a "Arc-LS First Run #1094," with the CR123, single AA and double AA tubes. Both lights still work, but not currently being used. I bought them during my early days with CPF, circa 2004 (IIRC - I was using a different computer and...

    Recommend a USB rechargeable light??

I just bought a Fenix UC35 light. I haven't had a chance to use it at work yet (I'm off until late December), but they're lot of positive reviews on the light (one YouTube video shows a guy putting his UC35 in his washing machine, to check out the "waterproof" claim - the light still worked...
