Ideal gift light for army recruit?

I think in the army he should have a good supply of CR123s. I would recomend a HDS Rotary or Clicky for CR123. If you realy want to buy an AA light, then I would recomend the Quark AA Tactical.

Thinking of getting a new compact camera...

The most important difference between compacts and dslrs is the sensor size. A big sensor allows you to blur the backround of your photos (bokeh). If you want to use that effect, than you should consider the sensor size in your decision. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokeh You could also...

    Pila questions.

The IBC will stop charging below 4.2V, if you want 4.2V or more you should not get the IBC. Keep in mind, that charging below 4.2V will extend the lifetime of your cells. Fifty dollar limit ! What's Flashlight would you choose ?

If I could only keep one light under 50$ then I would keep the Quark Mini AA. It is small enough to fit in every pocket, very bright on high mode with 14500 Li-Ions but starts with a low mode so it won't dazzle you.

Klarus MI10 very similar to 4Sevens Preon ReVO?

The emitter is the same. The groves in the head are the same. The length is the same. Diameter is the same. Keyring attachment is the same. Reverse polarity protection is the same. The material is the same. I don't think this is a coincident.

Klarus MI10 very similar to 4Sevens Preon ReVO?

I just saw this video about the Klarus MI10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6a80SXgkdE It looks very much like a Preon ReVO. Is it just a clone, or a rebrand?
