Headlight Aimer, Thinking of Purchasing One Again.

I'm a Porsche guy and manage a Porsche-specific shop. I've followed these directions to the letter with success.

    Best H7's for 2015 Merc ML350

As many others have stated, HID or LED retrofitting is bad advice. I have used the Daniel Stern-sourced 65w 2100l H7s in many vehicles. They're awesome and they work properly as the headlamp was designed.

    2010 VW GTI (MK6)

I thought there was an OEM North American LED tail lamp option, but I seem to have been mistaken. I can only find the European option.

    2010 VW GTI (MK6)

Yes, I was wondering if the later headlamps and tail lamps would be considered an upgrade or just fashionable modifications. I have a VAGCOM so any necessary coding is easy.

    2010 VW GTI (MK6)

I can probably snag some Osram 194, 7440, and W16Ws from my suppliers unless you have a better suggestion. The rear fog is a little more difficult than my previous 2004 GTI but should be accomplished for a couple hundred bones.

    2010 VW GTI (MK6)

Just added a new commuter to the fleet. The car is equipped with the HID lamps, fog lamps and non-LED tail lamps. The lenses on all of the front lamps are all starting to degrade. Vision still "appears" to be superior to my other vehicles, but I'm sure it could be better. What's the good word on...

Philips Nightguide Platinum: how are they?

Thank you. I'm glad it was confirmed. I did note that the packaging said they were designed in Germany and manufactured in Poland, not China as reporter early on. Daniel Stern said they were fine, but I'm also going to try and stock up on his 65w bulbs.

Philips Nightguide Platinum: how are they?

I ordered a couple sets of Philips Xtreme Vision H7 bulbs yesterday and my supplier sent me NightGuide Platinum. Have these superseded the XV? Would I be doing my client an injustice installing these in their Boxster?

Holley RetroBright headlamps? Good, bad or ugly?

Any updates on these "Holley" lights yet?

    Glass versus plastic headlight lenses

Most modern headlights are vented and not sealed (as Virgil pointed out,) so some condensation is normal and will evaporate. What you were told is true regarding standing water is the standard across all brands (at least the ones I've worked for.)

    H4666 update ?

Takes me back! I had a 92 Capri XR2. Fun to drive, but one of the worst purchases I've ever made. Young and dumb! Luckily I don't think I ever tampered with the lights on that car, but wish I could say the same for all the other 90-94 Ford products I had in those days.

Good replacements for 9005SI+ and 9005LL in projector lights in 2017 Ram

Another tip I learned from the experts: Turn your instrument lights down as far as you can while still being visible enough to read. Having too much light inside is just like having your fog lights on. Same thing goes for the dimming on your radio or phone if you're using it for navigation etc...

Good replacements for 9005SI+ and 9005LL in projector lights in 2017 Ram

Everyone does, and I used to until I was educated by this forum, Virgil, Alaric and Dan. The simplest explanation I found: If you're driving over 40mph and see a deer running out in front of you in your fog beam, you've already hit it. You're less likely to see and avoid a deer up the road...

You're on the right track! You can buy all six bulbs directly from Dan, and they will be the best available options for your truck.
