    Did I damage my brand new 18650?

    Here is a picture of the cathode end of my brand new 18650 cell. Spring on the anode, and the cathode end of the flashlight has a spring-loaded slug. Is this cell dangerous to use now? Should I replace one of the springs with a smaller one?

    I don't notice any annoying purple light with this LED as I do with other 395nm/405nm LEDS. I don't think I will need a filter for it. The aspheric in this host is glass.
