    Make a 3496 amber? Or use 2357A?

Hahaha yes, a gallon should suffice, thx for the pro tip :-) Will pick it up in a couple hours; I did set aside a couple fine brushes & foam brushes yesterday.

Gotcha. Here’s what’s available at my local store - https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/search-results.html?q=ceiling%20white Which one would y’all recommend?

I do have a pint can of “self leveling” Dulux appliance white & brushes. Acceptable? Or buy ceiling white, or use my chrome spray can?

Alaric & Virgil - I appreciate the plethora of tips. God knows I've harassed poor Stern these past few years. He must be pulling his hair out. Well, figuratively ;-)

Goo Gone - check. Windshield urethane - check. Ceiling white paint as in gallon pre-mixes, judiciously applied with a spray gun? I do have a link for grafted in/adhesived amber LEDz - https://petersonlightsandharnesses.com/product/led-turn-signal-parking-combination-assembly-front-13/

    Make a 3496 amber? Or use 2357A?

Will do, that’s a great idea thanks; I have half a rattle can of chrome spray paint kicking around doing nothing. I’d get aftermarket lenses/lamps if they had the Pentastar logo on them. I do have NOS lamps/lenses somewhere, but it may be more fun to chrome these, and try out one of the mind...

You are correct; the earlier trucks use a bezel that surrounds the headlamp, and has amber lenses at the bottom of the trim. The later trucks with clear lenses are standalone reflector/lens lamp units. I'll pull one of the earlier trucks housings & check whether the reflector/housing shapes...

Haha, yes, I see that, you shattered my non envelope dreams, even ;-) That's just a spare reflector assembly, then, a paperweight for now. Stern did give me some solid advice on what adhesive/sealant to use/not use, along with some gas fill pointers, which I'll use at a later date if I ever...

The minute I picked the box up from the front stoop I heard ominous tinkling. Poor thing must have had a sad, hard, ride to me. I put the word out to Stern for him to dig deep into his stash...likewise, I'd be obliged if you'd do the same, I'll take any & all 200x142 C-logo BOBIs I find...

As it turns out, the spare pair of BOBIs I picked up don't have to be Cratex'd - they take regular H4 bulbs. Unfortunately, one headlamp has some minor issues. If any kind soul has a pair (or even a single) 200x142 (5x7/6x8) BOBI with the black C in the middle of the lens, that they'd like to...

Curiosity prompts me to ask - which would be brighter on minor/major - A Honda 3496 through a factory amber lens or a good 2357NA like the GE/Tungsram through a factory clear lens? Both on Dodge pickups; ‘81 vs a ‘91.

Also - Stern has the entire range of Koito conversion lamps available this past while. I hear good things about the Koitos.

Done a few minutes back Virgil. Thanks much! edit - don’t ever let Stern know about my grease snafu, he’ll torture me to no end about my epic Mopar fail.

Alaric - The original H4s on my installed set of NOS C-logo BOBIs are clear top Norma H4s, marked with "12.8v" exactly like Virgil mentioned. Couple pictures to illustrate what Virgil typed out - First pic shows the slot in that Norma H4 - this allows it to slide down the ridge on the "neck"...

    7x6 H6054 Conversion Housings

Couldn't resist picking up an almost NOS pair of BOBIs yesterday. Simply because I'm partial to the BOBIs with the Cummins logo on the lenses, there's another identical pair (NOS when I installed them) on my old '91.5 beater with Megalight +120 9003s in them :-) They're in immaculate shape -...
