Nitecore F1 Charger / Battery Pack Review

I love my Xtar PB2 (button-top unprotected 18650) and PB2S (21700 and protected 18650, etc.). Not nearly as compact, but with more reliable and practical USB-C and more carry-friendly with the magnetic cover.

Everything about that sounds wrong. :ooo:

    Emisar D4

I just ordered my D4 a few days ago, so it will be a little while before I have it in my hands, but I fully agree about the Zebralights. I've bought a number of lights before (Nitecore, 4Sevens, Fenix, Olight), but nothing I've seen or heard of combines output, runtime, reliability and...

Zebralight SC600w Mk III HI - Pocket Thrower

Re: Re Zebralight SC600w Mk III HI Pocket Thrower There's a direct comparison of measurements here. No beamshots I don't think.

is anyone future proofing against 'too-powerful' lights?

I suppose I might be a bit of a special case here. My eyes don't adjust to darkness nearly as much or as fast as most people's, so there are quite a few situations where I actually need a quick blast of 1000+ lumens. That said though, accidentally blasting that kind of light when it's not needed...

Olight S10R Baton II reliability or lack thereof

In truth later models moved the moving parts from the light to the charger, hopefully making this less of an issue.

Olight S10R Baton II reliability or lack thereof

I think that's where the difference lies. I recharged the light on a daily basis. That allowed a small amount of gunk/lint/dust to enter the tailcap charging "hole" every day, therefore accumulating much faster. Every time you place the light on the charger, the center pin in the tailcap gets...

Light for visibility: Fenix CL05, Nitecore LA10, Glo-toob AAA, or something else?

Perhaps I should have mentioned that this should me able to attach not only to the clothing of a small child, but also on top of a dog harness (this one specifically) I've looked at stuff like this before, but they usually aren't very bright, which is an issue with my visual impairment, don't...

Light for visibility: Fenix CL05, Nitecore LA10, Glo-toob AAA, or something else?

Hi, I hope I'm posting this in the right section. I'm visually impaired with terrible night vision. I normally attach a Glo-toob Lithium to my dog to make her more visible to me and other people. Now I'm looking for a second, similar light, but preferably a bit more compact. It's for attaching...

    Zebralight C3 4x18650, 9000 lumens!

Perhaps 90% is a bit aggressive, but I agree that 10% of original output isn't a useful metric at all. To account for battery regulation and heat dispersion under different circumstances 75% or 50% would still be a lot more useful than 10%. It would a allow manufacturers a little leeway while...

ZL SC600 Fd III Plus issues

The NCR18650B isn't rated for providing enough current to drive this light. I'm just hypothesizing, but could it be that the battery vented without flame and caused pressure to build up inside the light?

    Nitecore Intelliger New I2 Question

My Eneloops usually come off of my BC-700 at around 1.49V, but they will settle a bit lower. Be careful leaving the batteries on there though. From what I've heard some of the newer i2/i4s have a high trickle charge.

    Foursevens Mini Mark II

I have to wonder how much of an issue they will really have getting these lights sold. Do we know how many they are producing?

Olight S1R Baton Vs. Olight S10R Baton III

Re: Olight S10R II I have two S10R-IIs, and those need very regular maintenance (disassembling, cleaning, reassembling of the tailcap) to function reliably. Better steer clear.

Olight S1R Baton Vs. Olight S10R Baton III

It's hard to say what your personal preference would be. The S1R has an optic instead of a reflector, resulting in a wide, even hotspot, and not much spill to speak of. The S10R-III has a more conventional beam pattern. I think some people might say the S1R is a bit better for indoors and...
