    Alright, disconnected the tri- drop-in / driver from the maglite and tested on my bench. No go for the driver. Also tested the batteries in the mag without the driver connected. No sparks and no shorts. Now to get a new driver :-( I wanted this to be an easy fix lol Now I have to wait on...

    No camera atm. I get sparks when connecting the maglite battery cap. The driver is a multi mode driver so it gets constant power. I am not sure what position the driver is (on or off) I don't know how to tell without the LED's lighting up.
