I like this idea a lot. Certainly better than Nitecore's "IBS" for their proprietary batteries. With the addition of an oval shaped positive terminal it could work on 18650s too.
What are the other modes and runtimes?
That stinks. But it might be very easy to get it working again. Convoys are known for how easy they are to mod and that is because they don't use threadlocker anywhere. But there is a consequence to that - threads can work themselves loose.
It sounds like the retaining ring in the tailswitch...
Please don't think worse of neutral white because of Thrunite. Thrunite is commendable for offering neutral white across their entire lineup but they also use the absolute cheapest and inconsistent neutral white LEDs which usually tend to look particularly green or yellow.

The only way to answer those questions is to measure the cells. It can't be easily predicted because so much matters on the duration.
Do you have an analyzing charger that could do a capacity test? With that you'll be able to see exactly how much capacity was lost. And by knowing the lost...
That is the "momentary" option under the "switch" filter. You'll also want to change the filter mode from "any" to "all" because otherwise it will find tail OR momentary.
Plugging your criteria into my flashlight search engine finds 3 solid matches:
Manker E21
Darksucks Preon P1 Mk3
Darksucks Preon P2 Mk3
These all use AAAs. The E21 and Preon P2 just barely hit your 200 lumen requirement and the low mode too.
If you are open to doing an LED swap to get...
Neither do I. When did I ever say that it could? "Slight" is not a synonym for "guaranteed."
Simple logistics. That would have happened anyway without the Red Cross. Look at any city and count up how many hotel rooms they have versus how many residents. Even Las Vegas has 150k rooms for...
Yeah. I classify the solutions into groups. Some things are "lifestyle" changes that could be done all the time. Others are things to have on hand and "ready for a disaster." And others are "luxury" projects that sound nice but there are better ways of going about it.
I'd put a well into...
The transition is still ongoing. Searching my flashlight database for micro-usb and 2021 finds 15 new products. (Though 10 of them are from Nebo.) Looking for usb-c and 2021 finds 19 new lights.
Re: Cyber attack EMP attack discussion Not Political
This is part of why I keep saying that the transition to renewables is vital to national security. It distributes the production and storage of energy across the entire country. There won't be the equivalent of a massive pipeline or...
I am really pleased that Fenix went to the trouble of certifying this for the US and EU markets. Some other chinese vendors only get the chinese certifications and that makes them impossible to recommend.
However this is Fenix's 1st intrinsically safe light with charging. Not the 1st ever...
I assume you are in the US? There are several that are trusted by the community.
18650 Battery Store / Bulk Battery (same company)
IMR Batteries
Li-Ion Wholesale
Batteryspace
I've got most of their inventory in the bulk battery database for easy comparison shopping.
There is a "high CRI" checkbox under the "LED Color" filter in the flashlight database. Combined with your battery and budget preferences find 54 matches. Acebeam has a lot of compelling models with a high CRI option. TK16 and TK17 and TK18. The Emisar/Noctigon lights from INTL Outdoor are...
I wish there was. Nothing comes close in the database. There are a few with ramping but they are all push button. And there are a few with rotary dials but they mostly still have modes. There are a couple with both features but everything else about them falls short.
Here is a debunking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDFlV0OEK5E
While not completely physically impossible it is completely impractical for cost and safety reasons.
