    That is a rip off. I remember getting them for half that price last year. In any case, despite the price of them for a pack of two, wait for Tom to do his analysis and post it up, as they may still be of "some value" compared to the Accupower versions from the US.

    Most chargers can charge them, the issue is how long it takes to fill up the cell with 8amps. Most chargers will drip feed these cells at 500mAh, 100mAh as they are geared up for the smaller AA sizes or D sizes that are only 2500mAh.     Seconded. The size factor is definately why this gets carried and used ALL the time. The issue which gets more attention is how to carry the spares in a box in a pocket rather than which torch to place into a pocket, round the neck, in the backup location, in the car and bag.

    Without some of the questions answered from the Ninja, you could open up a whole can of worms and nothing constructive. Budget would be the primary one, then which battery chemistry you are comfortable using. Even these two alone, would reduce the non useful info.

    The tip about pinching the spring to make it oval worked a treat. If you have one that falls out when tipped over, this is the trick to use.
