Quest for a apparent non-existing EDC flashligt

Maybe a Wurkkos WK40? It has the colors you want (built-in), comes with a short tube to use an 18350, or a regular tube for 21700 or 18650. Only wrinkles are that it has a rubber cover over the charging port (I agree that they are awful), and it is 1.25" at the head (to accommodate the multiple...

charging 18350 in flashlight that uses 18650s, etc

Thanks for your helpful replies, folks! @Monocrom , I agree that it might be safer using an external charger (although from the other replies, it sounds very safe in the flashlight too), so to be absolutely safe, I can do that. But I did want to know about the in-flashlight opinions. :)

charging 18350 in flashlight that uses 18650s, etc

Hi folks. I haven't been on this forum for several years, but I am back with a semi-stupid question concerning charging batteries in flashlights, especially batteries that are not the regular size for that flashlight. Specifically, Wurkkos (and Sofirn) flashlights often have interchangeable...

RED led lights powered by AA cells?

If you remove the focusing lens from the Rebel, you might like the light better, especially since when you use the red filter on the front you have a nice cover in place for the LED. There are several posts about removing the lens. Here is one: Rebel Lens Removal

Dorcy 1AAA/1LED is now at MY Walmart

I found them today at my Wal-Mart too, in southern New Hampshire, and I've never seen them there before. They had all the colors too. Looks like Wal-Mart is starting to distribute them better.

Seeking a rather dim red LED light

Re: Thanks DLG, Yup, the regular red Infinity is great for astronomy. Its runtime is so long and its dim light so unobtrusive that I often just leave it on (hanging around my neck, pointing at the ground) when I'm not actually using it. When I need it, just grab it and it's ready!

Where to buy Sonic, northeast MA, S. NH area?

Geepondy, I bought a Sonic at the EMS store in the Foxrun Mall in Newington (right near Portsmouth, on Woodbury Ave near all the other stores). I know they had them a few weeks ago, and every time I go in they seem to have a new batch (different colors than the last time I was there), so it...

got me a new led light brinkman rebel

[ QUOTE ] 4x4Dragon said: it is pretty narrow with the optic in but i tend to take it in and out. it's really easy to pop the optic in and out and with it out it's a pretty wide and smooth beam. [/ QUOTE ] I have seen other people on this forum talk about taking the lens out. Can you be...

Lithium AA in Infinity Ultra, worth it?

[ QUOTE ] Steelwolf said: or worse yet, leaked and ruined the flashlight. [/ QUOTE ] Glad you mentioned battery leakage. I seldom see this mentioned in this forum (I guess folks use their flashlights enough that this isn't an issue). Are lithiums less likely to leak than alkalines? How about...

who sells the new Dorcy LED lights in S. Calif?

I meant to search this forum for "Sears". I did and found this item: Click here The entry by e=mc2 mentions that Sears will be selling this light.

who sells the new Dorcy LED lights in S. Calif?

I think I read on another post fairly recently that Sears was going to carry these new Dorcys, starting at the end of August. Try doing a search on Sears.

How does Opalec compare to Ultra G??

I agree with oldgrandpajack that you should get both. However, I think that Quickbeam is correct about the "throw" of 2 Ultras versus 1 Opalec - the Ultras would be appear stronger. I always think of the Opalec as being about 1.5 times brighter than an Ultra. Any greater throw that the Opalec...

    Best 10LED flashlight for <$40.00

Re: LS == Luxeon Star Just want to add something that I think is important to this brief introduction to LS leds - they are VERY variable, and they are also expensive. If you're lucky, you won't get one that has a disgusting yellowish-green color to it. This factor keeps many (including me)...

    First Look: CMG Sonic AAA

Re: CMG Sonic and Infinity Ultra I bought mine about 1 week ago at an EMS in New Hampshire. They did not have them a week earlier, so I think they are fairly recent. I shouldn't have said that the led "protrudes sligthly." In fact, it is exactly even with the edge of the metal. This does result...
