Durability and battery life are what is important. So long as it's as bright or brighter than the stock incandescent maglite, I'm good on the brightness department.
Gang, what do you make of this Cree bulb?

Seems really good yet inexpensive. How does it compare to the Malkoff?
Sounds good, gang. I'm deploying soon but once I get back in a few months I'll get the Malkoff. Just seems really awesome.
So will I be okay with the standard reflector, trimmed? Or do I need to buy an aluminum reflector lest the light overheat? Someone mentioned that at those lumen levels it...
Yay! Sounds like the one for me.
So the LED is more resistant to drops and so on? I have had incandescent bulbs turn to powder from dropping them on pavement. :(
Thanks gang. I'm not really worried about having all the lumens, just want something more durable. I know these incandescents break a lot. So the LED is more resistant? The light won't burn up even if used for long amounts of time, like an hours or better without turning off?
Guys I got a free Maglite 6D "baton flashlight" from work and it has the incandescent bulbs in it. Low power, just not so good. I'd like to upgrade it to an LED. I see this unit:

Is this a good one? It says it is...
Re: You will love this NASA flashlight
I really would have preferred the real manufacturing date as well, since this isn't really a replica per se. If it had the original incandescent bulb and lens design, sure, but with LEDs and a new company (Barbolight) making them? Doesn't make much sense...
Can anyone recommend me a weapons light for a Beretta 92A1? I am not well versed on weapon lights and only know about the Streamlight TLR series. Any other better weapons light out there? I am looking for a plain and simple on/off light, no strobe or laser etc.
Thanks in advance for the help...
I'm cool with it I suppose. Can't wait to have my little space light! I plan to use it on the job. If this thing breaks or a part goes bad inside, will it be repairable? Is it more of a collectors piece that shouldn't be used on the job?
I personally would prefer to have this year's date on it. Like the OP has stated, this isn't so much an exact replica as it is a continuation of sorts. I think having the moon landing dates would be cheesy. Maybe have a special edition some day with an incandescent bulb and the moon landing...
